Looking to submit some articles and it makes sence to submit them across more than one article site..

But do they need to be spun - I dont care about back links its purely to raise profile of off line products

so you're not linking it at all, just getting the content out there, right? I would still suggest at least spinning it to 30% or so. Some of the article directory sites won't accept it / will delete it later if they notice that it's duplicate content.

It's duplicate content so you must spin your article to submit article directory.

It depends on how spinning has been done. I think better to go for manual spinning compared to use of an software. After all the quality of the article will speak about you also.

if its just exposure you want for your offline product range, i'd say you should go for press releases rather than article marketing. Im not saying article marketing doesn't work... just that press releases would be a better way to do it for what you're trying to achieve.

Im no expert in either, so perhaps one of the more experienced members can help you out.

If you want to submit to different directories then they check contents, then you need to show them some different content then what you already submitted.

It would be more beneficial if you could spin your content a bit before using on other ezine publishing websites

You need to spin article otherwise they won't be accepted. And since you're writing articles you may as well get backlinks out of them...

Try prweb they claim you create an announcement about your organization. Then they send it "across the Web and around the world".

Depending on the article directories, you might not need to spin them all. Check the specific requirements first.

Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please.

With the exception of Paul above me (Myob), has anyone in this thread ever actually looked up the facts or has everyone just been following sheep and making assumptions?

Quite possibly the most factually inaccurate thread I've seen on the forum so far.

Submit your articles, as is, to contextually relevant article directories where other webmasters regularly go to so they can find and publish articles useful for their daily viewers on their own websites. You can even approach other webmasters with top ranking, heavily trafficked pages by people interested in your content, target topics, keywords, products/services and affiliate products/services. Offer them your article content, as is, to be posted on their pages, and you can even offer mutually beneficial joint venture deals with them. You can also ask them to use your other articles for their newsletters and mailing list email updates, especially webmasters with large mailing list membership bases consisting of people interested in your content, target topics and keywords, products/services and affiliate products/services...

I'm assuming you own full exclusive rights to your articles? In that case: You can publish them, as is, anywhere, of course provided the webmaster or publication owner (offline) agrees to publish your articles on their pages, mailing list newsletters and email updates, offline publications, etc. If you read the ToS of some of the most "popular" article directories: You'll see they accept articles which the person submitting it owns full exclusive rights to the articles, or has been given permission by the rightful owner to submit it for syndication. Only Buzzle comes into mind in terms of article directories that do not accept content published elsewhere, even if the person submitting it owns full rights to the articles or has been given permission by the rightful owner to submit the articles...

In case your articles do not provide enough detailed information about your products: I recommend considering developing onsite content pages for your website which can provide detailed product information as well as some articles and blog posts offering tips, strategies, info, techniques and advice that can help your target consumers maximize the benefits provided by your products. Then: You can place links on your articles pointing to these onsite content pages. That way: If an interested buyer sees your articles on an article directory or a page in a contextually relevant website or in an email update or newsletter, this person can go to your linked pages and get additional relevant benefits in the form of info, advice, tips, techniques and strategies...

              Absolutely right.

Almost the entire thread is full of utterly misguided and factually incorrect nonsense. Really, it would be doing the members, collectively, a big favour for this thread to be deleted. :p

I just do not understand why people do this, especially with the changes at google and EA.

how many time do people have to get it spelled out to them.

Write new QUALITY articles.... not goobilidy gook that is only going to confuse people.

I am yet to see a spun articles that gets good results.

This thread is ridiculous and most of the responses here are not based in reality.

Don't spin your articles unless you only care about backlinks. If you think your articles are ever going to be read by a human, then DON'T SPIN THEM. I don't care who you are or how well you write and spin, the grammar and syntax and word choice problems found in ALL spun content will be obvious to all but the most illiterate dolts. And if you're trying to attract that crowd, then you're probably a dolt as well. ;-)

You can write a high quality article and submit it to as many directories as you want- VERY FEW directories have "exclusivity" TOS. And as far as duplicate content, you are being ill-advised here. We regularly take our clients from back page hell to page one for extremely competitive keywords by writing high quality articles, posting them to about 100 DOFOLLOW directories (we also post to dozens of NOFOLLOW for proper link diversity) using AD, then bookmark them using SBD, and create blog comments for clients that can afford the whole kit-n-kaboodle.

As mentioned by other users, Press Releases are perfect for what you are trying to accomplish. If you care about the quality of your work, then my suggestion would be:

1.) Only write high quality original articles
2.) Write high quality press releases and submit (If you can afford a PRWeb account, get one)

And don't listen to people when they tell you not to use submission software. As long as you do it right, you'll be fine and there's literally no difference between that and doing it manually...except that you'll save hundreds of hours. Just be sure that everything you put out there is VERY HIGH QUALITY and that you use proxy servers and Decaptcha.

If you need help with Press Releases, PM me.

It seems this debate will never end. All I know is the success we have had with spinning articles.

I am aware your articles are spun for backlinks only and are only read by robots; not intended for real people. But the OP question was is it required to spin articles before submitting to the article directories. As stated, he is not submitting for the backlinks. Spinning articles for the purpose of merely avoiding duplication is not a requirement nor is it necessary for submission to article directories, and generally only degrades readability.
