What is a safe Conversion Rate for CPA?

My overall conversion rate for advertising as a CPA publisher is about 18%, but I have some ads getting 20-40% conversion. Is this safe? I really don't want to get banned.

What really matters is the traffic quality. As your percentage is a bit high, this may make you vulnerable to any traffic investigation. However, if the leads are legitimate then there shouldn't be any need for concern - just a good offer Best bet is to consult with your network.

talk to your aiffiliate manager about what converts best. remember we are just publishers looking at one piece of the puzzle. they see the whole thing from the inside and could direct you to offers that convert the best. so in short better offers have better conversion rates-there is no one standard rate

Why would you get banned for having 40% ads conversions? I don't understand... You do a good job, sell a lot, earn a lot. What's the problem?

I have been hovering around 20% and have been paid over 50k in 2011 from the same advertiser - it all comes down to the quality of the leads - not the quantity....so if you are sending scammy leads you will get burned eventually...you can check with your AM and they can make sure everything is fine with the advertiser...

CPA companies are often suspicious to high converting rates because of the possible use of bIackhat techniques.
But indeed, if everything is legitimate and the leads convert ok then there should be no problem.
Just confirm with your AM to be sure.

My point exactly. If you don't cheat you don't have a problem.
