My WordPress question

I've started a wordpress site at Ontario Mini Group How the heck do I enlarge the font? I've looked everywhere and cant find an option to do that. I'd like to change the font too but if that cant be done I can stick with what I have.

Thanks

That's not your blog. It is owned by wordpress.COM. You can NOT change there anything...

Get your own domain and hosting; download the free script from wordpress.ORG and do whatever you want with your OWN blog.

This. You need to get it hosted yourself to make changes on it. The Wordpress hosted blogs you really can't do anything with.

It's most likely in the CSS. You will have to edit that (if you're not well-versed in CSS, hire somebody). Or just keep what you have.

By the way, the font size looks perfect on your site.

Thanks for the replies. There is no money in this group to pay anyone to do anything, it's volunteer and non profit.

Maybe it's just my screen where the font looks small.

I have to agree with Mr Wordpress over there You have to set up you own wordpress blog to edit the css, but don't be afraid, it's way simpler than it looks...

If money is an issue, you should at least get yourself a domain name and go for cheap or free hosting. Hostgator offers really cheap monthly deals. If you have no money for hosting, you can always go for a free Webhost such as 000webhost, but I suggest you go with Hostgator. Really cheap and user friendly and you can host unlimited domains for almost nothing. Best investment you'll ever make.

I think think the font is fine, but what you are looking for is in the Style.CSS file.

You are looking for lines that look like this..

    font-size: 11px;

Just change one at a time and go back and look to see if the one you wanted to change is ok. (Also not a bad idea to copy that whole script first before you make any changes - so you have a back up).

    Hope that helps.

    Good luck.

      Guys, stop talking nonsense!

Nobody can edit any style on a wordpress.COM blog. Why bother to answer if you don't read the thread???

Actually, you can edit the css on wordpress.com sites. Click on appearance in the sidebar and then "edit CSS. There's a stylesheet editor which will allow you to make changes in font size.

Well, you could do that, but with domains and hosting as cheap as they are, why wouldn't you go the extra mile to have it hosted by your own servers? Less chance Wordpress will delete your blog too.

      Not really...
The CSS editor lets you modify the visual style of your blog. You can edit your CSS and preview the changes for free. If you would like the ability to save your changes and make your design visible to the public, please purchase the Custom CSS Upgrade. (more info)

Wow. lots of varying opinions about this! Please note this is a volunteer group. nobody pays anything for anything, no dues are collected. I dont want to spend my money on it in case it fails. I'm not a defeatist, just a realist.

        Thanks!

As always. There are "opinions" and there are answers based on facts and knowledge. You just have to sort out which is which.

(there are also the lazy repliers who never read and understand what the question was, originally...)
