Clickbank Vendors!! Advice Needed

Hi guys,

In what format are you delivering your files. .zip, or on download page as single items?

Asking because one of my customer came back with refund request and said he is not able to open .zip file. I was surprised, because every Windows or OS should open .zip without any problems, because .zip files are part of your system. So i did some search and looks like Vista is doing weird things and not opening .zip files. Gives some weird errors and then few days later opening again...

I'm also using DL guard to deliver my products...so i don't want to use my own download page and use single items there. So they can just click and download single file (.zip).

Do you have any experience with refunds with .zip files not opening? I don't want this to be major issue either and have lots of refunds.

At the moment i've told them to download WinRar, if .zip files are not opening. What else i can do?

Thanks

    Hey Margo,

Put a link to 7 zip on your download page...

    7-Zip

This will allow them to unzip the folder and its free to download...

I use DPD (similar to DLG) and this works for me on Clickbank!

    Cheers

      Thanks Coby,

I will add both there just in case.

Any other weird opening problems you have seen in past? Apart from PDF and .zip issues. Which are very easy to fix, don't know why people can't type few words into Google

    Thanks Chris,

You mean like redirecting download link to URL?

First, I'd email the customer the unzipped file or a link to the unzipped file and then close the rediculous CB refund request ticket.

I had one opened on me the other day because some jag said that he had already purchased my product and that this was a duplicate purchase. I could find no record of it and asked for proof from him... CB issues him a refund anyhow...

I always zip stuff, to answer your question.

      Good luck!

Yes i did email him and explained how to open .zip file and he can get proper program for that.

He contacted CB over the chat and wanted refund..so he got it already. Not that it's a big deal for me...

But thanks for advice. I've added clear instructions to DL Guard download page and also to email they get.

Based on his own website (email account domain), he knew exactly what .zip file is and how to open.

It may take some time, but you might find it worthwhile to create a couple of 'after downloading your file' instruction pages - how to unzip, how to install if needed, how to use. Make the links very prominent on your download page, like, "Having problems opening the .zip file? Click here for instructions."

Your customers will probably almost never go there, but for the ones who have troubles, it might save a sale.
