Couple of newbie questions

Bit of background, I have been lurking on this forum and elsewhere for a few months and a couple of weeks ago I posted here for the first time and received some important advice, TAKE ACTION! So, I did. Two weeks later I have my first site up, fair amount of content created and looking forward to my first sale

My first question has probably been asked a hundred times before but everywhere I look I get conflicting advice. I have written my first article and it has been published on Ezine, (after 2 days!), now I want to submit to other article sites.

So,

Can I use the same article?
Should I change a couple of parts?
Should I spin it? (still need to learn how to do this :confused
Do I need a unique article for each site?

I am slowly building backlinks, is there any order of importance to building these. Are article submissions more important than social bookmarking for example or should I just slowly add links every day across a range of different types of sites.

Thanks for the help.

Spinning really is just changing the order of things in your article and changing words. There is software people use to do this but personally I always just do re-writes if I need to re-purpose an article for more directories. That way I know it is of quality and proper readability without having to spend forever editing the spun copy.

Unique content is always better. Yes it takes more time but its not a numbers game. Just because you put 100 articles out does not mean your going to get 100 times the traffic. Just one solid unique article can bring you thousands of visitors over a months or years time.

Can I use the same article?

Yes and duplicate content penalties will not apply because they really don't exist.

Should I change a couple of parts?

Not necessary and just causes you more work than you need.

Should I spin it? (still need to learn how to do this :confused

Don't waste your time with this.

Do I need a unique article for each site?

No, but if you want to use Buzzle you will need a unique article. Some require it, but most do not.

My advice is to pay for a service to submit your articles out there for SEO purposes and backlinks. However, make sure the service is not going to give you a ton of backlinks overnight. You want these to look natural and you want them to filter in slowly. This is why article directories work so well because they do not all approve your article on the same day.

You can check the WSO and warrior for hire section and there is a guy I use named Ben Jackson. He does very good backlink work with submissions and the price is very affordable.
