Flippa: What About All Those Articles?

I am considering listing a couple of my sites on Flippa... Never done this before.

I have written hundreds of articles that are posted on Ezinearticles, other article directories, the Free Traffic System network, and etc, that are all under my own author accounts.

If I sell a website through Flippa, what arrangements do people make about all of those backlinks to the site that are owned by me?

I'm sure I'm not the first person to encounter this situation. Just wondering what is the standard practice....

Eg) I don't want to hold on to 100 articles that point to a website that I no longer own, under my Ezinearticles account, for example. Eg) What if ironically one of my selling points is that the website ranks #2 for a certain keyword, but only because it has those 100 Ezinearticles under my own account, pointing to it....!? I don't want to give away my Ezinearticles account, because I have multiple pen names for different websites there!

Thanks!

I usually leave all the backlinks as is even my articles in ezinearticles simply because, as stated above, you will be adversely affecting the rankings of the site for the new owner.

Unless you want to state in your auction that you are deleting all the articles that point to it, otherwise it is not fair to the new owner.

Unfortunately, there isnt any way to transfer the articles to someone else (I wish there was!)

But if the backlinks from those articles are one of your selling points you have to leave them in place.
