Mobile Video Question

My Black Berry won't play streaming video hosted
on my own site or embedded from You Tube.

I assume other phones have similar issues so I'm
wondering what I need to do to convert video to
a format that will play through the Black Berry
browser. I know there's a You Tube app but that
won't help. As I said, I need it to be able to play
directly through the browser.

Do I need to learn HTML5? Is there a cool trick
that will work better? My company has a new product
that is 100% dependent on people being able to view
video on their smart phones so I really need to know how
to make that happen!

    Darn!

    I'm looking around at various HTML5 video players as
    well as coding tutorials and it doesn't look as if I can
    actually play video through the BB browser...

    Unless anyone here has a recommendation?

    @Tsnyder - have your tried outputting your video as 3gp? i found it solved a lot of problems between android/iphone playing video as it buffered...

    i have a mobile site with 3gp if you want to test it out first - please pm for address

          Yep I know. You Tube also serves video in HTML5 when it detects
          mobile but it still won't play in the Black Berry browser. You have to
          download the You Tube plugin and access YT through that.

          If you have a mobile site with video served via S3 please
          post or PM me the link so I can see if it plays in my browser.
