Another reason why people fail...

I am receiving hundreds of contents to write and one thing I always notice is that, some people are asking for something to write for their websites because they can't do it. Some ridiculous instructions and some can't explain what they really want.

What I mean is, how can you succeed when even yourself don't know what to post on your homepage? Just because someone told you that this niche is good, you then grab a domain and ask a writer to write about it without even understanding how it works? A lot of people are losing money because of this, and they just abandon their websites after a while without having any good result.

I am always telling my friends to invest time to learn rather than invest money to have someone do everything for them. I hope I am right.

I think it depends. It isn't always better to learn yourself. Maybe the basics, but not the deep stuff.

So, I think its good for internet marketers to learn the basics of writing, the basics of creating a website, how to do keyword research, etc.

But if you want to get big, knowing how to build a team to do a lot of stuff for you (especially content creation and backlinking if you're doing SEO) is HUGE.

Its much easier to create a 100 page authority site if you have 5 writers and you just give them the keywords than to do the research AND write everything yourself.

I think people's goal is to have a valuable website. But so often value to the visitor is totally ignored. It's really easy to spot a website that is worthless, and even easier to leave.

Keyword research and high-quality content writing is one of the most beneficial things people can do for their sites.

I agree with your post, there shouldn't be as much confusion as there is right now.

I am not against in paying other people to work with me as I myself have a dozen of writers and VAs. The purpose of outsourcing is to make your job done faster, not to start something for you. before you pay, make sure you know what you are paying for...

You're absolutely right. You'll never truly understand the nature of the business without experiencing every little detail yourself at some point. Even if it's painful, it's simply something you've got to do. Eventually you grow your business via outsourcing but you can't be out of touch and in the dark about what's needed. Same reason some of the best coaches in sports were former players, great CEOs come from within the company, etc.

understanding what you want to write about is better to avoid having nothing to write about.

I completely agree with Adie, i mean if you dont even know your own business than how do you think of running it and taking it forward to make you money. Only the basics wont help, you also need to go into the depth of your business. Even if you want to assign your work to someone else than you have to explain your work to them properly, otherwise things wont work.

This truly is the key to effective outsourcing. While you don't have to become a master at whatever it is you plan to outsource, you need to at least have some working knowledge of it - otherwise it'll be like the blind leading the blind, leading to the unfortunate situation where ignorant marketers are handing off jobs they have little or no knowledge of to you!

Some people just don't have the ability to write well written content. Its as simple as that. I prefer to write my own content (even though I cant write) because I want to be in control of it. But you could just re-post articles from articles base or many of the other free article directories.

    I definitely agree .

It is important that you always have some knowledge of the subject matter you are planning to do . But , you don't necessarily need to be an expert at it . Because you can hire other people to work for you .
