Hi guys, Here is a newbie stepping into the show here. I just posted a site design on elance and there is one of the bidders with just a job to his name assuring he understood my requirement and able to deliver but I am not very convinced.
Anyone with guidelines in relation to this kind of situation.

    With outsourcing, go with your gut.

    It's right most of the time.

    If you're not getting enough bids, raise what you will pay abit.

      I get a lot of my workers from oDesk and have hired people that had no prior work history or very little work history and they worked out. I also had the complete opposite where I hired someone and they could not handle the job. Just make sure that they understand all your requirements. Like PPC coach says just go with your gut!

        Plus... the money is in Escrow, unless you set-up hourly... either way, Elance has very good customer service should you encounter any issues.

    (1) Post on odesk.com;

    (2) Get at least 15 bids;

    (3) Ask to see samples of their work;

    (4) Post a message here asking for referrals to a designer;

    (5) Select the one with great communication and a track record.

    If you're not convinced, you're not convinced. Do you want us to tell you he'll do just fine when we have no idea who he even is?

    You put up a job for bid. This particular bidder has not convinced you that he can do the job. So, don't award him the project. Wait for more bidders to jump in. If none convince you, don't award it to anyone.

    It's your money. Don't feel obligated to give it to someone who has failed to convince you he or she is the right person for the job.
