How To Send Subscribers To Freebies

Hi everyone, hope you're well.

Anyway, I have a PDF, Which I wish to give away to my list for free, but I don't actually know how to do it. I simply want to include the download link in the E-mail, they click, they download, they have the report.

Can someone tell me how to do this please? I'm sure it's really simple, I just haven't done it before.

Thanks alot.

Pope.

If you are using Aweber, copy and paste the email (including the link) in a broadcast and send it to all your list.

    Hope this helps

You may hire a freelancer from site like odesk and then hire an email marketer and in this way you can complete this job at a reasonable price.

I followed what's said in the videos but this just isn't working. In the video, Chris mensions something about keeping all the contents of your website in one folder, I don't do this, I haven't heard of this before, is this why it isn't working?

    Thanks.

      Thanks.
Can you list what exactly you did do?

This is how i'd do it from the top of my head:

      1. open public_html folder
      2. Create another folder called download
      3. Upload the file you want into that folder.
      4. get link for the file - make sure that is included in the download page.
      it'll be http://www.yourwebsite.com/download/filename.pdf

Though if your file has multiple words like "list building guide" with spaces between words then it'd be
      /download/list building guide.pdf

      5. edit downloage page with the link & then Upload download page into the main website folder.

    1) Use an FTP program like filezilla (Free)
    2) Connect to your website using that program (Watch videos on how to do it)
    3) Make sure there are no spaces in the title of your freebie
    4) Upload the file to your website
    5) Now open the file from your browser window
    6) Copy the link in the address bar
    Done!

    EXAMPLE:

Say I named the PDF file Free_Report the extension is .pdf
If I uploaded this file directly to my website (not in a subfolder) then the link would be mydomain.com/Free_Report.pdf

If I created a folder to put it in then my link would look like this yourdomain.com/Foldername/Free_Report.pdf

NOTE: If you create a folder to put the free report into ensure you put a blank page in that folder called index.html so that no one can see your root directory from their browser. To do that it's easy. Open up notepad and save it as index.txt. Upload this file to the subfolder and then change the extension to .html So that blank notepad file will be called index.html
