Maketers are driven to be curious, not to be right.

Maketers are driven to be curious, not to be right.
Marketers would rather be right, and maketers know that being right all the time is boring. Maketers don't strive to be right, for they know "right" changes as surely as the seasons. In the words of the Manic Street Preachers, this is my truth, tell me yours.
Maketers are never afraid to ask "Why?", never afraid of those three little words "I don't know."

I just snagged this from

It depends on which marketer you are talking about when you say this...

I am sure there are marketers in this forum who would disagree with that concept.

This is categorically an untrue statement. Marketers rely on establishing credibility, which is a fundamental result of being able to consistently ask the right questions from which to derive a correct model for the market. An essential and primary function of market research is asking many questions, to make the right decisons; it's got nothing to do at all with such utterly silly nonsense as merely "driven to be curious".

How about driven to be profitable.

I can see the perspective about being curious. But the motive
is driven by something else, as we all know.

Driven to be curious, maybe for the purpose of testing.

Good catch there, Bill. I read the title and laughed and thought, oh
        no...

Profit - precisely. Such a cavalier attitude that marketers are driven by curiosity makes me fuming mad.
