Questions regarding Monetizing a successful YouTube Account

Hi Warriors:

Please do not click on Any Links from somebody that went from 36 posts to 115 the last few hours called User Name. He posted here. The links will cause hijacking/spyware on the computer.

Now to the actual post of mine!

Hope Sunday is going well.

My girlfriend has developed a well respected YouTube Channel approaching 1,000,000 views and 1000 subscribers.

I'm not saying this because she is so special to me. As a former radio disc-jockey, author, and public-speaker saying she has a fantastic chemistry with the viewer and passion for what she does is pure fact and not tainted.

She is very shy for the most part (away from the videos) and has not been interested in the possible money side of YouTube.

If she would consider the financial rewards what what you recommend she does on the actual Channel/each video/and video description box?

Let's say she wants to promote a specific web host and Cost Per Action opportunities (as examples), would you suggest she places the links in her Channel Page and then go back to every video and place them in the text box description?

Any other thoughts and pointers are appreciated. The final decision has to be up to her but if she concludes the hobby could also be a vocation affording her the best tools possible would be superlative in my book.

Thank you all as always for your kindness and I make mention all the time if I don't respond a.s.a.p. I may be with clients (especially during the week) but will always hit the thank you button and or write back.

Have a super Sunday,
Craig

For starters you can place a affiliate link in the Description box (Make sure it's the first thing you put in the description as it'll always be visible if you do that).

The product she would be promoting gotta be relevant with the video as well. Can't just stick a affiliate link to a "Fix your herpies now" product when your video about a cat doing something silly otherwise it just won't convert into sales.

Also, Use Youtube's Annotation mode to make arrows pointing to your Affiliate link while the video is running. These arrows will act as "Eye Guiders" and hopefully guide people to the affiliate link.

If you're not sure how to make arrows using the annotations, simply use the "L" and "V" keys.

    Here... let me show you.

You can also put call-to-action in the Annotations as well. Just put something like

"If you're interested in XXXXX then you're gonna love this"

There's a few things you can do if you wanna promote products on Youtube. Check out my sig link if you want. I'm giving away a free course that'll show you how to do just what you want to do on Youtube as it goes.

    Anyway hope this helps Craig

    You have super Sunday too!

      Hi James:

Thank you so much. I talked to my girlfriend about an hour ago and she is still vacillating about the YouTube account being commercial and not a hobby. It is her decision in the end but with such articulate folks like you answering the question there will be an opportunity should she desire it.

      All the best,
      Craig

    It depends.
How much daily views you girlfriend's channel gets?
What are the videos about? What niche?

      Hi 2Grann:

Thanks for the reply. She posts info about cellular phones/applications/social media/video games old and new.

I think she can redirect the traffic to review site, let's say cell phone review with maybe amazon affiliate link

First of all what I recommend you to do is to put affiliate links in the every description of the video. It could be linked to a cellphones on ebay, amazon or any other affiliate programs.
Don't put too many pop up messages on a video with affiliate links, it distracts and shows dishonor to a viewer.
