Need some help with my PDF

Hey guys, apparently I wrote my ebook in some ancient software known as ms works word processor.

Everything I've tried so far to convert it to PDF has messed up the text in some way. The closest I'm getting is using a trial version of Nitro PDF and that's making certain paragraphs boldfaced.

What can I do t get this to convert properly?

I also want to know is there a way you can set your PDF to have a default zoom level so that when people open it, it's already nicely zoomed?

Thanks.

Also is there a way to apply a copyright symbol to the bottom of each page and page number to the top?

Do this in word via the header and footer section before you hit print.

I always do it with Microsoft Word 2007. You can just save it as a PDF. It Works great.
If you are putting it online there is a way to apply a default zoom:
    http://partners.adobe.com/public/dev...Parameters.pdf

However, I believe that you can't set a default zoom to a PDF, because it depends on a program and the preferences set by each person in his program.

When I open up one of the pdfs I bought online it's at 143%.

When I open up the one I made it's at 100% zoom.

I don't think there is a way to set the default magnification. A lot of this has to do with page size and monitor size. If you check the page sizes of the documents, you'll probably find they're different.

Download Open Office Suite OpenOffice.org - The Free and Open Productivity Suite

It's free. Then just copy/paste your doc into "Writer" their word processing program. Very simple from there, just click on the little PDF icon, and it's done. Simplest PDF converter I've ever used.

You can download the pdf/xps plugin in word and you can directly save word documents into pdf.
And i don't think there is any default zoom level for any pdf. Much of it depends upon the end-user settings.

Use the nitro pdf plugin for your word document, set the zoom in level and convert-save it.

Now it would not work for everyone who downloads it, actually it will depend on the pdf reader they use. Some of them detects the best zoom in level and then show you the file.

ONCE UPON A TIME there was a Warrior named Bob. He was sad. And frustrated. You see, Warrior Bob spent every last nickel on Internet Marketing e-books. But nothing panned out. No traffic. No sales. He was one sad Bob. Then one day Bob found a bottle. He rubbed it and out came a Genie who granted him 3 wishes. For Wish #1 Bob asked for a pet Dragon. Wish Granted. For Wish #2, Bob wanted Warriors' websites seen by 53 million TV viewers, for under $5 per broadcast. The Genie said... (click here)

I'd recommend you trying to get it into word first and using a converter, there a bunch online.

    Good luck

If you'd like to be able to do this, I suggest you switch to OpenOffice. It's a free and fast text editor that has a built-in "Export as PDF" feature with tons of options (E.g.: Zooming, Securing etc).

Try converting it or cut and pasting your stuff into Word first. Then you'll have an easier time converting it into a PDF. There are plenty of programs out there that can take a word doc and convert it to PDF.

There are different websites online that can convert a word file to pdf, for free. You can put a signature or a trademark at the bottom or heading of your document by just double clicking the upper of lower part of the page, that is for MS Word 2007. The header/footer tools will then appear and you can customize it already. Or, in other MS Word editions, you can check the View menu and choose the Header and Footer option.
