Ideas for Monetizing my site? 2k-3K Uniques a month

Hey Warriors...a little brainstorming session here.

I get between 2-3K unique visitors to my site every month and we are starting to brainstorm ideas on how to start monetizing our site.

We are a real estate company that focuses on owner financing people...so our leads are mostly local, and can't get a bank loan due to credit issues.

I have an affiliate link to a credit repair offer (from clickbank), but the conversion on that is terrible.

I have thought about adsense; however, I don't want to "ugly" up the site.

What do you guys think?

There are a few factors that tie in to monetizing a site efficiently. For example, how the content presents your offer, where the offer is located throughout the site, and what state of mind your traffic is when they come to your site (consider the sources of traffic and any keywords they may have used to find it).

If you want hosted ads but don't want text ads adding the "clutter" look, you can always use the option of image based ads. You will more than likely get realtor based offers which will fit in with the sites theme.

Also, make sure you understand EXACTLY what your traffic may be considering at the moment they come to your site... Not all keywords are made equally, and I'm not talking about number of searches per month.

And as omrishabbat said, you've got to make sure your product is something you believe in and you'll be more encouraged to maximize its rate of conversion.

honestly isn't the CPC on real eastate niche pretty high? In my opinion a small amount of CPC ads can actually add to a websites appeal rather than taking away from it. Can make it seam more official.

Yeah, that's true! Once again as long as the right keywords are being targeted for the search results, since the CPC is relevant to that.
