It's Good to know. Google adds Clipart Search!

Yesterday Friday Dec. 19th Google added clip art and line drawings to their image search criteria, in addition to photos and faces. It's Google's "Search by Style" option. To restrict your search to either line drawings, clip art, photos, or faces, choose the style criteria from the drop-down on an image results page. (Alternately you can add the right parameter to your search URL to set up a keyword quick search; for line drawings, for example, it's &imgtype=lineart.)

It would now be a good idea to include alt image tags on your line drawings and clipart same as you should for any image your using onsite and have them indexed by Google. Need some clipart for a project? Here's a Post on the Official Google Blog that shows you how.

Great tip. Are these images free for the taking, as in, they are not copyrighted to anyone, do you know?

  That's the rub you have to check the copyright status but I've found many that are copyright free and good for commercial use.
  I am digging out of 14 inches of snow right now and I'll post back here later some tips for finding copyright free images and clipart.
