Dreamweaver and Frontpage

I've always used Frontpage for my sites, basically because that's what I had when I started do pages. I'm sure many people started this way too.

Eventually I'll be probably just be doing my sites it CSS once I get the real hang of that. It seems easy, though, especially with all of the templates that you can get your hands on.

Anyway, someone gave me a copy of Dreamweaver and I know many people on this forum like Dreamweaver much more than Frontpage. So, here's my question:

Will I be able to import or just open up my current .html files done in Frontpage with Dreamweaver? Hope so...then I can just install this version of Dreamweaver and say goodbye to Frontpage (which I know many of you like to hear that!)

Thanks!

Frontpage extensions don't have anything to do with Frontpage builtin "publish" vs. manual FTP. They're for Frontpage-specific handling of things like forms, database access, and stuff like that.

As long as you stay away from Frontpage's special features (like the ones above) and understand its propensity to put <p> tags where you don't want them, it's a prefectly good WSIWYG editor.
