yes this happened to me in March I made my first sales of $66 but then 3 weeks later the buyers asked for a refund.

luckily I was able to make $20 in APril through forum posting

Yeah the CDR rule sucks. But it gives you a reason to promote like crazy in order to get paid sooner, rather than later.

It can be a real pain to deal with the CDR, especially if you set up new Clickbank accounts to track/separate your different projects. Sometimes it can take a loooong time before you receive all the requisite different forms of payment that you need in order to get paid.

Well done - same thing happened to me, I ignored CB for years, just couldn't really get my head round it (and it looked SOOOooo dodgy before they redesigned the site).

Then I ran across some groovy keywords that somehow got me to page one of Google and the sales started coming in.

You do have to think a little laterally with CB - the "is this a scam" brigade have jumped on all the obvious keywords and promotional angles, but there are many many more niches and microniches to be had out there. Once you make a few sales you start to "get it", I think. Oh, and avoiding IM products is always a good tactic

Congrats on your accomplishment. Now comes the hard part. How did you do it? The fact that you are surprised at this "windfall" says to me, that you were not expecting it.

Trace back and see where the sales came from and start pumping more resources into that method or resource. Get a good tracking solution so next time you will be expecting the revenue and have the ability to track the source of your sales. It will save money, time and frustration in the long run.

Oh, and get a business license so you can start deducting expenses, the space you use for a home office and a percentage of utility expenses generated by your home office.

The great thing about getting those first sales is that you know that what you are doing is working. Now you just have to ramp it up. It's just a taste of what's to follow with more hard work. I still have a Squidoo lens that I created about 2 years ago for a Clickbank product, and it still generates about $75/month in commissions: haven't touched the lens in over a year.

The great thing about getting those first sales is that you know that what you are doing is working. Now you just have to ramp it up. It's just a taste of what's to follow with more hard work. I still have a Squidoo lens that I created about 2 years ago for a Clickbank product, and it still generates about $75/month in commissions: haven't touched the lens in over a year.

oh that is nice. your squidoo lens .. here working hard to make some more cash soon.
