McJiffy script users - YOUR SITE IS DOOMED!

I don't want to overdramatise this, but I also feel a lot of McJiffy (eBay) script users aren't aware of this issue and are going to get a nasty surprise come 30th June, since McJiffy sites were pretty much "set and forget", and users probably haven't been following EPN matters that closely.

If you have sites running McJiffy (and you are actually making anything from them!) you should note that, to cut a long story short, on the 30th June this year your sites will probably implode!

eBay have changed the format of their RSS feed (see the post here: eBay Partner Network Blog » New RSS Feed Generator Available Soon!) as of April 17th and while the old feed format, and scripts which rely on it (like McJiffy), is still working for now, eBay say that they will kill off the old feed altogether on the 30th June this year.

While I am almost 100% sure they will extend this deadline considerably after this date (since they would take a massive traffic hit otherwise), the days of the old feed, and McJiffy especially, are numbered.

McJiffy in particular does NOT appear to be supported anymore by its author - the forum has been a spammers haven for a while now - and it WILL NOT carry on working without a rewrite from someone.

While I would gladly "leverage" this misfortune to shamelessly plug my own product (I have removed my sig to avoid such accusations!), the fact is that McJiffy is a standalone script, not a Wordpress plugin, and therefore there is no one-click solution to migrate to another script.

I can throw out a few options if anyone is in the situation of a valuable site being potentially lost (though I definitely do not have the time to rewrite McJiffy!), but the main thing is I wanted to give people a heads up so that they are not taken by surprise by this change.
