HEEELP! PayPal doesn't like my product!

I have a rather controversial yet -- not so unethical product that PayPal does not like.

They, after 1 year of using them, want me to pull the product.

Who else can I go thru? (Besides google checkout)

Your own merchant account hooked to an Authorize.net gateway.

Bank of America, PowerPay.biz etc are merchant providers that can work with an Authorize.net gateway.

The fastest easiest way would be to sign up for a www.powerpay.biz account.

How did they notify you about this, and what exactly did they say?

Did they freeze your account or just tell you not to sell that item?

Depending on what it is, switching processors may not help, since certain types of items are prohibited by many of them.

THey emailed me and told me to take the thing down and remove all paypal info from the page. They said I have 1 month.

I want to continue to use ejunkie.com who can do 2CO and can also do Authorize.net

Ugh I dont want to deal with this BS.

How do these sites even know what I am selling?

    My product isn't even bad...

Maybe they've had some bad experience in the past (chargebacks mostly) with that kind of product you are selling and they just want to be preventive...

I just think some butthead ordered my product, and didn't know whatit meant on their billing statement, and then called Paypal to whine. The buyers of my slightly-naughty product are not really the most quality people on earth. Nor do they manage their money well.

I now have 2CO set up. I paid 50 bones to get on to 2CO and now I can have it all set-up via e-junkie, my program I am using to deliver the files.

But -- now 2CO USES paypal as a payment option. SO -- that sucks. Now I am still using paypal! Why would someone even WANT 2C0 when they could use PayPal for cheaper and no sign up costs?

WHo would want to use 2CO in addition to paypal ?

Does anyone USE 2CO around here? And is there a way to disable PayPal within 2CO?

      that's funny!

I managed all porn stuff out of paypal, but "normal" stuff... they take it rather well...

the tos only excludes porn, hate, illegal, things that can get them into trouble...

Contacted them 3 days ago about the o-ebook and they said... no problem. Put it up!

And it does have some strong words...

Anyway, you will need a gateaway, what you already know... or let it go if you can't make the numbers work...

      RDG :p

Could you not just slap it up on Clickbank?

Most likely someone saw your offer and put a complaint in to PayPal - maybe even a competitor. They can do some nasty things to make sales. When someone kept posting negative comments on one of my articles offering a particular product, I contacted the affiliate manager and he told me that competitors do that - put your product down and push their own product.

I'll bet something like that happened to you.

Re selling through 2CO that uses PayPal, you might want to check that out. It might not matter in that instance because you are not really selling through PayPal - they are just the payment processor. I don't know that PayPal can tell you what you can sell on another network.

Have you tried paydotcom.com? Just an idea.

I understand Paypal doesn't bother with Paydotcom's customers.

But you would want to check Paydotcom's TOS...

      good luck!

If Payapl doesn't approve, Clickbank wouldn't approve and you admit yourself you're selling to low-lifes, perhaps you shouldn't be selling the product in the first place?
