What products too choose from CB

Hi Guys,

I am a bit confused with CB, earlier I had removed adsense from my site and tried an experiment with CB. But I thought I should try both together adsense and Clickbank.

The only thing I am confused about my site is what products will have maximum conversion rate for my website which is a free classified ads website, right now I am trying with getting traffic keyword, So I am having all the traffic bring product links on my website. Is this a good choice of produc.

As far as what I have gained from warrior forum about success with CB is about choosing your product carefully.

So does my links have any conversion chances ?

Thanks

  • You are the only person that can answer that. It all comes down to what you can do.

Why would you think someone else can tell you what will convert? It's your site, your ability to write, your ability to find a market, your ability to promote within that market.

Give 2 guys the exact same program to promote. One can make thousands and the other guy nothing. Why?

    There is your answer.

You won't make money until you figure out it's not about you... it's about them.

What can you offer "them"? And why would they buy from you.

Isn't the best strategy to search by keyword and sort by gravity?

You don't want to promote something that has nothing to do with your interests. If you have a great forum on old movies, a lawnmower maintenance affiliate link is not very valuable.

You also want something that has a good bit of weight behind it. There's a description of gravity on CB that is better reading than me rephrasing here.

No ... for the record, that's an extremely poor and misguided strategy.

Guys, with respect, several of you have really missed the point of the thread.

The OP is not asking for "general Clickbank product selection criteria". He already has a site (to which he provided a link) and is asking which products might be promotable from it in conjunction with his AdSense and the other stuff there. He's not about to become an article marketer, or anything else. He just wants advice on what to advertise with little banners or whatever, on his existing site.

"Gravity" has absolutely nothing to do with "having weight behind it". Gravity is not in any way proportional to numbers of sales. This doesn't relate to the OP, but the explanation of gravity given here may help you a little bit, Raindog.

It's one of the things that matters a lot, certainly. It's kind of "fundamental" in the sense that you can do everything else right (and there's an awful lot of "everything else" to do) and still earn nothing, if you've got that one wrong.

With apologies for sounding negative, I can't see this being successful, myself. But I've never tried it, so do so and prove me wrong! (The reason I suspect it may not work is precisely all those things included in the "everything else", which it seems you won't be doing at all, this way).

Here's the bottom line (from my perspective): making anything realistic from selling Clickbank products depends on two essential things ...

        (i) Effective pre-selling;
(ii) Building lists and communicating effectively with people on them.

You won't be doing either, hence my pessimism; sorry. I strongly suspect that Clickbank products, overall, are a mismatch for your type of site.

Well, it does say "a newbie" in my signature for a reason

The problem with a "free ads site" is the audience are visting because they can get something for free however of course this does'nt mean your traffic wont convert.

It all depends what type of ads people are posting, really take a good look through your site and find out what topic people are posting ads about the most, this will then help to give you your target audience, all you would need to do then is simply find a product that targets them.

I would recommend picking 2-3 and split testing them, if one converts a lot better than the others then ditch the other two and concentrate on the one which is converting. Or you could create your own product if you can't find on on CB that meets you audiences needs,

    good luck

That reminds me of something I have long believed: just putting a link on a web site is useless.

On the other hand, describing why a product is good, why it will solve a problem, why you recommend it, and then including a link is very valuable.

If this is your first experience with clickbank then my advice would be to find something you are interested in, buy it, read it, and if meets expectations then write about it on your site. Its always easier writing about something you are interested in, and can give informative views on.

I think the best product to sell is something you are already talking about in your site... If your site talks about "Facebook" then sell some like "Make Money With Facebook"

    Good luck.....

Kern's wacky cousin Trey dumped a load of duckettes into ads on CB products and came out with a product showing which converted best. Think it was called The Number Effect, not sure if they're still selling but likely worth a read.

Is it a free or paid classified ads site? Who are your users/visitors? What type products and services are THEY interested in? It's really not about you.

If you can't answer those questions about your visitors, you will need to ask those questions via surveys, email lists or some type forum platform.

Reading the Warrior Forum is good. However, just because someone writes it and others have written the same thing before them, doesn't necessarily make it so. Research, ask questions and test your findings. Find out what your users/visitors want and make it available to them.
