Good idea. Most people do blog commenting more for building links. If you flip it around and focus more on traffic, such strategies could work out well. Of course, it would take some good comments or a compelling username to get much clicks.

This will work in the short run as long as you have a blog that will continue to pull visitors to your site and make them want to return. You still need engaging content.

Thanks for Sharing. I guess the other factor to look at is that make sure the blog that you are commenting has good traffics!

I am also using this strategy and its more effective compared to sending emails for a link exchange. All I did was automate the link exchange process. All I need to do is just read the replies of the webmasters.

I ran across this 1 blog and got like over 300 hits from being the last to comment. That put my comment in this guys recent comment section.

When my comment stopped getting traffic, I commented again on another post and the guy disabled my link even though my last comment was better then my first comment.

So you can get spikes of traffic from blog commenting indeed.

Hi, Thanks and you are right we can get traffic by commenting over niche related blogs and it also helps to earn a backlink as well.

      Hi Zach

Yup, this does work. I make point of blog hopping at least one day a week. But I operate by a set of rules (my rules):

Don't only visit high traffic blogs.
Every blog has its own unique visitors. In fact, I've made some very valuable contacts by commenting on smaller sites. Smaller blog owners are also more likely to reply to comments, giving you link juice.

      Obviously Spun Articles.
If I read an article that has obviously been created by spinning, and is appalling to try and read, I know the owner hasn't read it, or even cares. I never comment, which would give him a link.

Good Articles. I always attempt to leave a valid comment, not just "great post" type garbage. If another visitor reads your comment, and thinks it's good, there's every chance they will visit you.

Reply to Comments received. This is polite and appreciative, and creates goodwill. Try to always visit the commenter's blog. You can find some good stuff out there.

Reply To Comments. I do this only if I think it adds value to the conversation.
