I think jumping from one shiny opportunity to another is a big downfall for many of us. It took me a good 2 or 3 years before I finally settled down and really put the work into one project.

I think the time it takes to 'get it' varies quite a bit from one person to another. I think a lot of it is about getting your head in the right place to make it work.

The hardest thing? Finding out that action beats meditation. And as you mentioned,
to pick one project and stick with it.
The way that did it for me was reading $5 a day by Dennis Becker.

I always love to try another things that bring me one step further..

Example :

Today i try clickbank then tomorrow somebody talk about cpa.. I have to try it out too bcoz i always wanna stand one line with them

SO i wanna be an experience internet marketer which is know all kind of internet business model..

You can read as much as you want, nothing beats understanding and learning concepts like taking the opportunities first hand and learning them from your mistakes or achievements. I highly suggest you find something of your interest and get to work !

Every few months I just have to cut myself off from the IM world to tell you the truth...It can get overwhelming by times.

I definitely would agree that a big part of finding success in IM is understanding that you already know everything you need to know to make money.

When I began to outsource it allowed me to take a look at the bigger picture and see the thing that can make me money.

It was only when I replaced myself from working IN my business to working ON my business that I started to make money.

Simply the realisation that in a field in which the overall, long-term success-rate is pretty low, the "general consensus of opinion" about any individual specific issue is always quite likely to be a mistaken one, and occasionally even a deeply and dramatically mistaken one.

That you have to treat this thing just like you would an actual business if you want long term success. All successful businesses have a plan they follow and they make adjustments, when I started treating this business just like that, things began to move very quickly.

Two biggest realizations for me so far:

1. Keep track of the time spent working on projects. "Work" means the nitty-gritty, profit producing activities, it does NOT include time spent on forums or reading wso's.

When I realized how skewed my time spent was, I started changing things around.

2. Outsourcing is critical. Somewhere between my third and fourth website I realized I can't be doing everything myself and still expect to make decent money.

Hi there

This is my first post in this forum. It's interesting how many of us took 2 to 3 years to stop guru jumping or chasing "shiny objects".

My first experience with an IM mentor was very expensive and he didn't deliver.

I left after 2.5 years and bought 2 other courses, one course owner is great and has a great forum and top notch training aids and the other doesn't like me asking questions and thinks I am a defeatist if I do (?) .

I recently discovered this forum and I am sticking to the present teacher and seeing my project through this time. I have recently built an affiliate website and am learining to drive traffic to it.

I am also writing articles for ezine and they are being accepted so I am very happy about that.

I am reminded about planning by what BIG Mike said, and he is right. I write a plan of action each week and if I don't stick to it all hell breaks loose! Oh and I have "got it" in some areas but still on the straight of the exponential curve (not making money yet).

I would like to be able to offer help to others here too as there is so much great information already and I have felt really lost at times (still get like that some days) so for newbies there can be info overload which can lead to anxiety and giving up too early.

I aim to be a useful forum member here and help where I can. Photo coming soon.

I think it takes a while for the brain to take it all in. To soak it all up. I am sure alot of good marketers in here know what that feels like.

For me, it was not about getting it....it was about gettin off my fat arse and testing things.

Things you think will work well, normally dont. And things you think are crappy go like the clappers when you test them. This is a funny game and just proves you should testing, tweaking and see better results and more profits.

I think a marketer who does not test is like someone going into a bank robbing it an forgetting the money. LOL.

I agree - patience and persistence are definitely 2 biggies. Especially when most of the products out there talk about how you can make loads of dough in no time flat - that can lead to unreasonable expectations - at least it did for me, at first.

Closely related to those is consistency. I still have to fight the urge to give up on projects before I've given them enough time to start bearing fruit.

Another tough lesson for me was learning that things don't have to be complicated to be effective.

Oh, yeah, and letting go of shiny object syndrome - just like pretty much everyone else

Action- My personal pro/con mentality, which is that I LOVE to learn has worked for and against me. Meaning I became knowledgeable in many areas but my pockets were still empty. So after jumping around, i found 2 areas to focus on and am sticking with them. Having 2 is great for me becuase it gives a change of atmosphere when i get tired of the one.

Definitely, sticking to 1x plan at a time. Trying to do too many things at once, was a recipe for disaster in my case.

I am now focusing on only a few traffic generating methods now and I have seen a huge improvement in my business.

Following through on one idea at a time. I can't tell you how many times a project takes longer than it should because I start going from one place to another and starting projects everywhere.... of course none are complete so you never earn any income.

I was lucky i started making money off the get go and within the 4rth month of doing IM i was making lots of money with cpa free trials. I had about a year of that then they stopped preforming well after that.

Then it took me about another year and a half before i realized how this game really works. I got a good taste in the beginning and then realized I needed to pay some dues, stop jumping around and really WORK disciplined to make things happen.

I love this biz, and i found that the learning curve was almost completely psychological. That was a tough process to go through. Still is sometimes...

It took me about a year to realize how I could maximize the returns on the work I put in. I read a great post that said most internet marketers overestimate how much they can earn after one year, but greatly underestimate how much they can make in four years. Now I am trying to focus on the big money making tasks. What kick started me? Reading "Hypnotic Writing" by Joe Vitale. That taught me how to really understand audience on any piece of writing.

I have found the answer to Internet Marketing and that is sticking to one project at a time.

At the moment my main aim is to build my list on this one simple project until the dosh starts pouring in and then I will move on with the next project. Its the only way IM will work in my opinion.
I have finally started my project. The main focus I consistently do everyday is funnelling the traffic to my squeeze page. It can be time consuming but eventually pays off. This is the only key. "One project at a time". Jumping around to too many opportunities is the thief of time - robbing away your dreams".Its not worth an ounce to rob away your valuable time.

It took me about 3 years to nail it down.

Find one method and stick to it until you can master it and scale it up.

Absolutely key.

Most who are failing are doing so for one of two reasons:

1. Bad information

2. Good information but not implementing properly or long enough to learn the real benefit.
