Can anyone recommend a coach/mentor/ IM training programme

Hi, i am relatively new to IM and have dabbled about, spent money with no results and just at a point of info. overload and overwhelm but yet to make any income in internet marketing. I am very keen to break through to a fulltime IM income.

Just to warn newbies - i lost a grand to a fraud australian who regularly does seminars here in London and lives in Thailand!- that was a few years back in my naive IM-very-eager-to-learn days. That Knocked my trust of the so called IM gurus and guess have tread ever too cautiously since which has hurt my success rate at IM. So be careful and do your due diligence (like i will be doing) before you part with any red cent!

I am looking for a step by step proven mentor/coach/ programme to help me develop a long lasting solid business strategy. ie. where students have had real results from the training. I have lots of IM theory just in need of a structured plan to tie it all together and apply.

Ps. update- have been receiving lots of well meant PMs. Thank you all but only offer me whats proven and can i also add that i am on a limited budget..

Any tips, ideas pointing me to right direction warmly welcomed.

    Hello!

    First, well done for wanting to take a course before "diving in head first". Very wise move. I did the same when I started in IM. My first course was the Challenge (which is FREE), I then did an excellent second course which taught me everything I needed to know about IM. Although I have finished this course months ago, I think I will stay a subscriber for life!

      Thank you for your reply.
      Been away from this forum a while hence the late reply.

      I do not mind starting with any business model- from what i gather so far affiliate marketing may be a relatively faster, cheaper way to get started. I have built a Wordpress site reviewing an affiliate product and guess lack of traffic has been the problem as have relied on SEO/organic traffic, article submission, submission to a few directories but made no sale yet.

      To start off with, I would like to go down the niche of 'making money online' as its popular and ever green.

    If you have the time I would see if you could intern at a local web design and seo business. That would definately give you a good start in seo for your websites and a bit of the business side so you could start your own services.

    There is a lot of free and useful information around you. Read on and start implementing what you have read. Don't fall into all this "coaching" and "mentoring" stuff and don't listen to anyone. Just look for your own unique way.

      I sent you a PM, due to the sensitive nature of part of this post, which is self explanatory.
      Yes, it is a nightmare trying to work out who's good and who's not. Even when you've been in the business a while, it's not an easy task.

      There will be good advice here in WF, and amongst the good advice will be people simply trying to sell. So don't leap at anything without taking a deep breath.

      I can refer you to couple of excellent mentor/trainers in the UK, one of which also has a US based partner. They don't charge you thousands either.

      If you're prepared to be guided step-by-step in a membership site, then I have a link in my signature file to a review page of who I consider to be the very best on the entire internet (yes, the very best).

      Whatever you do, don't buy in 'bits'. Don't buy an SEO course, a Web 2.0 course and a PPC course. You need an A-Z newbies course to lead you by the hand.

      I agree. Chris is great. I also contacted him some time ago to point out that his site was a little lacking for WordPress, and also Mac users (too many exe files).
      I'm pleased to say that he's now introduced WordPress as a section on the membership site. (Still a bit weak on supporting Macs though).

      By asking in the WF, they have started finding their own way. They're asking for advice and help here.

        Thanks Alan. I received your PM but unfortunately i am limited by my number of posts -so could not find a way to reply. I had edited that sensitive bit off my post but on second thoughts have re-inserted it as others might learn from it.

        I was a member of a great forum called 1kaday by a respectable man called Dennis but what i have found is that unless a membership site has a structured step by step of how to do each IM business model, a beginner runs the risk of info overload and ends up not achieving much.

        I mentioned the above as your membership site sounds similar. I am in search of a proven business model, step by step where i can also count on support via email if stuck. What does your training offer in that respect and how much will it cost?

        Chris Farrell is a great trainer and a genuine ethical marketer. What did not work for me is lack of wordpress as i reckon its the best and quickest platform to built websites. But yes to be fair i learnt the basics of IM on his site.

        Since you said you have a limited budget. Try looking around the forum and apply the information you can find here. A War room memebership might be a good investment if you can not afford a good mentor. Maybe post a question about your site asking for feedback, since you have not made money.

      Thanks Nick for the response. Been there done that esp. after losing money on stuff that does not deliver. But i find as my time is of great essence if i can trade it from money and reduce my learning curve, that would be ideal. Yes having said that i have self taught a few things- i trade on ebay and amazon(physical goods), and have a couple blogs but i need to get into the real gems of automating my online income via digital marketing. Observing lots of gurus who have made it big in IM they all have had a coach/mentor but guess they met through credible refferrals. so on here its a bit of hit and miss i guess

    There is one senior IMer in this forum who provides free training for some selected candidates he selected some candidates this month to provide free training. Fortunately I got selected in his coaching. He stopped now but said he may start another batch near future. I can PM you his name if you want.
