I have a few websites that I don't operate anymore and I was thinking of selling them. What is the best place to sell a website?

I have tried flippa and had some success but I am looking for ones that are cheaper or preferably free to make a profit.

  I personally wouldn't sell a website anywhere other than Flippa, as the more serious website buyers hang out there, so you're less likely to get someone who is wasting your time. But if you want to go cheaper, you could try eBay, NamePros, or even sell your site right here on the Warrior Forum (there's a section for that called Comlete Websites for Sale).

I do not trust those kind of sites but if you are looking to sell a site Flippa is the way to go.

First before you worry about selling make sure
you have 3 or 4 months of provable income.

Take that figure and multiple by 3 or 4 times
and that will get you closer to a price you
can actually sell it for.

And I guess you have to consider, no one
might be interested at all.

Unfortunately, as a seller you're stuck going where the buyers are. There are a few alternatives to Flippa, but most of them aren't worth the time of submitting your auction/page.

  I also have to agree with Flippa. I've tried websitebroker with less success.
  
  I used to sell sites on ebay but not anymore. They simply didn't fetch enough money.

Flippa is probably the best. However, it seems you want to keep costs low, so why not try craigslist......it is free after all.

We've had quite a bit of success with Flippa...lots of buyers there.
