Content gateway + ebook = how much $?

Hey everyone,
I was thinking about writing like a 10 page 'report' on making money in the music industry, making a simple landing page, and letting people download it for free (after they fill out some offers through a cpa content gateway).

Was wondering if I promote it with adwords, how much money can I expect to make? is this a good idea for making some money on the internet?

If anyone else has done the ebook/content gateway model, how much do you make with it?

What content gateway is best? blamads or another?

    You can't 'expect' anything.

    You need to test. Whatever you do will be different enough from what anyone else has done to make their results irrelevant to you.

    When people make money it's rarely to do with the system and more to do with their ability to keep taking a lot of action and improving their systems and results.

    Don't start this if it's just because you heard someone else made money doing it - you will probably not make money.

    Only do it if you don't mind if it doesn't make money and you need to spend a lot of time working on it until it does.

      There are simply too many variables involved to make a prediction.

      When it comes to your promotion:

      Depending on your keywords, AdWords might be prohibitively expensive. Are you willing to spend a bunch of money - with no guarantee that you'll get any of it back?

      Plus, you shouldn't just focus on 1 form of promotion anyways. There are thousands of people who are trying to do what you're doing. You have to think to yourself, "what can I do to make myself stand out from all of them?" A few AdWords ads aren't going to cut it.

      And, once you get traffic to your landing page, there are a ton of things that can affect your success. Your landing page may not be written good enough to convince people to sign up... you might make them jump through too many hoops... you may have a design that looks too hyped up or too amateurish (which can turn people off before they sign up)

      There are tons of things that will affect your plan. It's going to take work, and it's going to take time. And, in the end, you might not make anything from it. Or, you might make a fortune. But there's no way to predict that right now
