Hi everyone,

Well my night just got a million times better I have been trying to implement David Preston's cash cow method though online. Of course I had to tweak it so that it would work for an online version but i just got off the phone with a website owner and he said he would be interested to work with me.

So I have some idea's for what i can do to help him with his website but i thought that i could probably use some warrior's help to come up with some idea's to help monetize this guy's website.

Let me explain the site

The site is gaming related it has over 8,000 members out of those 8,000 i would say that 1,000 are active weekly and they are very dedicated to this niche.

The site gets about 200-300 unique views a day on weekends is where you see closer to 300 uniques a day

It gets about 2,500 unique viewers per month

Page views about 3000 everyday

In November it got 85,000

As far as income

The only source of income is google adsense

In the month of November the site made only 22.06

with 251,000 page impressions

and 110 clicks

There is only 2 ads on the website on the home page there is one on the bottom and in the forum there is one at the top that is it.

The average person is from 16-24

Also the game the site is based off of is the Halo Series

Halo's 1 - 3

Thats about it

So far i have some idea's but i could really use some help

I have herd of cpa but i really dont know to much about that

If you think you can help / have any idea's i would really appreciate it

Thank you,

Eric

  • also the main source of traffic is google
  • Great to hear Eric, I just read your 'how to approach someone' post, and I'm very excited for you! It sounds like you had a great conversation with your potential client.

My first thought when you mentioned it was the gaming niche was another post here about selling Wii's... http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...tendo-wii.html

You need to give the audience what it wants. Do some research on other affiliate networks that offer products that are targeted to the gaming niche.

You're on the right path, do your research, get some fellow warriors' opinions/ideas, put together an outline, and present your proposal to your client.

Best of luck to you, I'm sure you will have great success!

  • Maybe read this article about CPA...

    What is CPA Advertising?
  • Hey Jared,

I Like your idea's i told him i would give him an outline of what i was thinking in 48 hours so i have some time to think about how were going to approach his site.

And that wii idea is a good idea but the website is more about the Game Halo which is on the xbox 360

    • Even though the website's topic is about a specific game, that doesn't mean that the target audience doesn't play other games on other platforms...

Check out this affiliate program that I found real quick:

      Video Game Rentals: Rent/Buy Wii,PS3,PS2,Xbox,360,PSP,DS,GC,GBA Games - GameFly.com

Do some research on Google about 'Xbox Affiliate program' or 'Gaming affiliate program' different variations, etc... you will find some gems that could make your client very happy.

Also, don't forget to do some research and check out the CPA networks, as they have just as many great offers targeted towards this niche.

I think if you can come up with a solid plan/outline, an organized list of the best networks you would suggest your client join, show them the benefits of your plan, how it will monetize their site properly, well, that should seal the deal for you. (Of course, don't reveal your entire plan... that's what you are charging for...)

  • Hey stangracer,

Thanks for the idea's i didnt even look at click bank because i didnt think they would have anything guess i was wrong.

Also i have had some trouble finding any good cpa offers for xbox 360 products all i found was cpagaming.com which looks good but its more for online games which is still ok.

But so far gamefly looks like its the best option

    • You should try a couple of different offers and see which one sells best.

Being a gamer myself, I think that the Gamers Testing Ground will sell well with that market.

      Gamefly should sell well also.

You can also rotate ads and provide a few different ones. That way the vistors don't always see the same ad and just get used to seeing it and than ignore it.

There are many banner ad rotators available for instance.

      Just a thought.

    • Your very welcome...

      Good Luck
