So I have an awesome APP idea, how do I "sell" it?

I have an idea for an APP that I, and many others, have considered awesome.

I know developing/creating it wouldn't be that hard for a programmer, but how to get it out there is my question.

Without giving it away, it basically puts hungry buyers in touch with sellers instantly.

Obviously the buyers would just pay/download the app, no problem, but how do I get the "organizations/seller" to accept the app and agree to sell their product via the app?

The "organizations" are very LARGE companies and I feel would benefit from the app, but how do I get in front of these people without giving away the idea and losing out?

(When I say large, I mean HUGE organizations, not small groups, but national groups.)

Anyone with experience or advice would greatly be appreciated!

(Not looking to buy a WSO telling how to make basic little apps, but real business venture tips)

Thanks!

Hmmm - The old chicken and egg. I'd say develop the app, get the buyers on board, then everything else will follow. Regards Allen

if the idea is really good, you do not have to have the app at all, some power point is enough. go for your local VC, present to them. atleast provional patent it first.

I agree with AverageGuy, if you're confident that your idea merit some market value then at that point you can already sell your idea to the big time company and if they're interested, then you can talk about developing it with the support of the company. It's just not practical to make it before presenting it IMHO, as you're not yet certain that they'll buy your idea. Most likely, they'll still have it customized to better suit their taste and needs. Just make sure that no one else can get ahead of you in introducing that idea by patenting it! You don't wanna let it get stolen by some random spy out there. Good luck!

    Thanks for the input.

I agree, I don't think I need it actually developed prior to, as it would need to be fine tuned to each organization slightly and I don't think it will be 'super' hard to develop once we get a go-ahead.

I guess looking into getting a patent would be 1st on the list.
