Is Clickbank still the place to get sales?

Good day

I would like to know from you guys: Is google still the place to try and get affiliate sales from?

I know that the % per sale is good but isn't there other places around offering the same high % per sale?

Since getting on the WF, I haven't bought any CB products but have spent hundreds on WSO, are you guys doing the same or are there other good quality sources on the web that we can learn from?

I know there is a lot of things to comment on but just so passionate that I need to know as much of the things im interested in.

Have a great day and be blessed in all you do.

Hi - A good guide on Clickbank is the gravity. This is how many people have made a sale in the last 30 days with that product. It doesn't tell you how many TRIED AND DIDN'T, but still, it will give you a good guide.... regards Allen

To be honest, I think marketing on Clickbank works a lot better if you've used the product and have a passion for it, irregardless of the gravity and other popularity factors. If you can't convincingly say why YOU recommend something, why would many people want to buy it either?

I make sales frequently on Clickbank still, and by far the best products I've ever promoted were the ones I had a personal interest in, read thoroughly and reviewed before I told anyone else about them. So, in answer to your question, yes I think Clickbank is still a great place to promote if you do it the right way.

That said, if there's a product you believe in that doesn't use Clickbank, you can promote them too. Many WSOs here have affiliate programs which is very useful.

Initially you can get sales on clickbank if your product is good and works for others without any bugs in it.

But, the issue comes up with the refund policy, clickbank is having a 60 day refund policy.

What actually happens is that, you make very good amount of sales in the start but within a month or so you start getting refunds like insane.

People use the product for a month and then ask for a refund.

The reason behind the refunds can be like, bad support system, bugs bieng reported in the product, etc.

So, i am not too sure about clickbank being the place to get sales..

Not quite, Allen. First, it's 8 weeks, and secondly it's weighted in inverse proportion to the elapsed time in the case of each individual affiliate, so it isn't actually possible to tell how many affiliates have made a sale. And it isn't possible at all to tell how many have been sold: it could literally be one copy or thousands of copies, for each affiliate, without the gravity figure changing at all. Gravity figures don't relate to "numbers of sales" and don't pretend to. There's no indication at all from a high gravity figure that the number of sales has also been high (and very often it's the other way round).

The commonest reason for refunds relates to how the product was pre-sold by the affiliate.

This is evident from the hugely differing refund-rates that different affiliates commonly have for the same product.

If a product has a high refund-rate across all its affiliates, then Clickbank promptly removes it from the marketplace, because of course the processing and administrative costs would soon add up to more than their small cut of the takings, and they'd lose money on it.

In any case, Clickbank isn't technically "a place to get sales from" at all, in the sense that one's sales page is on one's own site, not on Clickbank's site: Clickbank is simply a retailer. One still has to do one's own promotion, to bring in customers and/or affiliates, whether one uses Clickbank to process the transactions or not.

Most people use Clickbank. I guess you try to use Clickbank for you to see and learn most why most people chosen CB.

Yes, I would say that Clickbank is a good place to find products that sell well. After all, it is the biggest retailer of digital products, right? However, even the best products need some solid marketing in order to bring in sales.
Gravity is definitely a helpful feature to consider when choosing a product to promote. However, I would never promote a product no matter how high its gravity is, if I don't like it. Ideally, we should use (or at least test) every single product we promote. In the case of gravity, though, I am not sure that the bigger is the better, because we also need to consider the factor of saturation. A great product with a gravity ranging from 50 to 100 is the best case, in my perception.
I wish you fun and sales!

Clickbank is alright to get sales. Unfortunately, I haven't seen very good conversions with them.
