hi guys first post here ,

where do i start, my name is Jordan and im 17 from the UK (yes a lil young but who cares right) anyways iv been looking into IM for a couple of months and thought i started to understand it...but then i looked into word press. More specifically looking at amazon affilliate marketing and posting reviews as reading about this seems to be the place to start but i have a few questions:
1. are all "reviews" on a different page?

2. are all pages under 1 domain name? and if so what do i look for to find out about choosing a domain name, or does it matter if reviews are on grills, lawnmowers and shoes?

3. SEO...uhh.....man this is confusing. i dont know where to start

4. is it worth buying word press premium so i can use plugins and such?

5.. your probably bored by now so i will leave these for another day if i don't find the answers before

sorry for the newbie questions but i really am confused and almost overwhelmed with the whole topic of IE

thanks in advance

my best advice would be to find someone who is actually successful that is doing what you want to do.

Make sure that they are actually doing it and not just saying it. If they have a product buy it, and if you can try to get them on the phone or through email, and model what they are doing exactly.

try to find out what they were doing when they first started too. this is usually what I do when I want to learn something new.

it can be hard trying top piece everything together like this in the beginning.

just work hard, work smart and be persistent and consistent with your efforts.

All good questions. I think most of us experiment with some, investigate a lot, and spend a lot of time finding our own answers. Eventually you seek a mentor and ala cazam, answers that make sense!

You may find some of the answers to your questions are already on the forum - just use the 'search' function at the top, put a keyword in and up comes all the posts on that topic. Easy!

And don't be afraid to play around, experiment with things. Only practical things will help you learn faster, through trial and error. There's only that much you can read.

      All the best!

    1. are all "reviews" on a different page?

From what i understand your question, yes they are. I usually use a new 'post' for every review, but some people do find using 'pages' as well. Talking wordpress here. It'll be good if you can optimize each new post for a particular keyword, like "XYZ LCD TV Review".

    2. are all pages under 1 domain name? and if so what do i look for to find out about choosing a domain name, or does it matter if reviews are on grills, lawnmowers and shoes?

I guess you're thinking of creating just 1 website where you promote all kinds of products under the sun. That'll be a super authority site (like wikipedia) and it'll take too much time before you can become an authority for it to make you some dough. You probably need 1 domain for one particular 'niche'. Like one domain promoting grills, another promoting lawnmovers, another promoting shoes. Instead of just one promoting all three.

    3. SEO...uhh.....man this is confusing. i dont know where to start

This is the hardest part to making money as an Amazon Associate. You need to pick out the first keywords that you can rank with relative ease. An example of a keyword that would be extremely tough to beat would be "diamond engagement rings".

You need to set your own parameters regarding which is tough and which is do-able so it'll taking some trying and failing out there. Your sites need to have decent on-page SEO, but what'll eventually determine your success in the SERPs will be how you take on your backlinking strategy. I can't say which is good because people have success with using different links so you'll have to find one that works for you.

    4. is it worth buying word press premium so i can use plugins and such?

What is wordpress premium? You can use plugins with any kind of theme. For starters, you need not spend money on premium wordpress themes (unless you want to invest) or course. You can find out some good free themes and stick with them until you've made some money. There're a few free 'vital' plugins for review sites like the All in One Seo Pack, among others.

All the best with your new venture! Implementation is key so spend more time taking action rather than pure learning. And 17 would be a perfect age to start. I wish I've started earlier!

very enlightening post Jackson thanks a million! as for the word press question i cannot use plugins because i am not hosting my own site (im using the bog standard .wordpress.com domain), at least thats my understanding right now, im a little apprehensive to go buy hosting and a domain because i have as much money in my bank as some people on here make every day! i guess i will keep reading the forums and thinking, i just want to get on the train before it leaves without me i guess.
