A starting point?

Hey fellow warriors. I'm new on this profile, however I signed up under a different username about a year ago (closed my email address so couldn't get a new password off here), so I'm relatively new but not totally!

I'm still looking for a starting point and would like to get experts' opinions on a good starting point. I've heard affiliate marketing is good for newbies, and also CPA might be good also?

I bought a good WSO for CPA last week and it was looking good until my freelancer got me banned from Peerfly Not a good start! The Freelancer is blaming Peerfly, and Peerfly have gone quiet.

I started the 30day challenge last year but my job took over my life (this is why I'm here) and didn't manage to progress all that far. They haven't started a new one yet so wasn't sure if it's worth doing last year's again or if there's anything similar out there?

What do you all think? My strengths lie with figures...I'm nearly a qualified accountant and experience-wise am pretty much qualified. I'm an extremely friendly guy with the desire to work for myself and don't like doing things half-cocked. I always like to be the best at what I do and hate losing out!

Thanks in advance for your input!

  • Treat it as a real business.

First, don't think about products of offers, think about markets.

Choose a market (niche + audience/demographics) to focus on and decide on your traffic source. You can take both the free or paid route, it depends on what you prefer to spend: time or money.

See what others are promoting in your niche, how they build their landing pages and structure their funnels. Start testing and don't be afraid of failing. Experience is the best teacher, so let it teaches you some lessons.

Come to this forum and ask questions when you need.

  • Affiliate marketing is generally one of the easier ways to to start. How I started was coupling forum marketing with list building. I advertised a coupons and free shipping "newsletter" for those interested in certain products. Then I simply emailed once a week with the coupons in which my affiliate links were embedded.

These day's I email that very same list twice and sometimes three times a week! So build your list and start building it now!

  • Personally I started with article marketing because it is something that is easy for me as a writer. I have found that the traffic I get from article marketing is much better than I have gotten from other methods. I also like that it provides a chance to learn some basic SEO, how to write properly, and some other basic marketing principles that you can use in other forms of marketing.

Good luck and the sooner you take action the sooner you will achieve your goals!

  • Thanks Benjamin. So you used article writing to sell a product on clickbank in a niche?

    • Hello Chris

I hope everything goes well for you

Like Benjamin said, the sooner you take action the sooner you will achieve your goals. Even the longest journeys begin with the first step!

Here's a tip that I personnaly find very effective - Selling any product creates competition. Your job is to find a way to attract customers to your product in spite of the others similar to it. One way to do this is to charge the same price, but offer your customer just a littler bit more than the competition does. For example if you have written a couple of articles before you can bundle them together and create your very own unique free report

Hope this helps you or atleast gets the creative juices flowing

      All the best bud,
      Sean

  • Starting Point... I recommend to do three things before making any decisions.

1st - Get your mindset and commit to whatever you select.
2nd - Make sure you select something that you have an interest in and are passionate about.
3rd - Follow through on your plan. No matter how good or bad it is. follow through.

Now with all that said, I would make this project small and measurable so you see real results.

    Ask yourself things like:
    What do I enjoy?

    DO you like challenges?

DO you like it simple? What makes you different from THEM...

Personalize your offer to fit what you enjoy...

Now in my opinion there is a ton of opportunity in the following areas:

    1. Expert in any field will to make their own products- digital and/or physical
    2. Local Business Expert - This field is growing and really needs integrity due to the new product launches there is ALOT of the same pitch.
    3. Affiliate Marketing - You know what this is if you are here at the forum.

Just get serious, make a plan and make it happen, You can do IT!

  • Thank you everyone, that is all extremely helpful! I think I'm there with where I want to go but I might just take a bit more time digesting everything
  • Learn all you can, and take it from there. Learn how to create a website, and how to get rankings.

    • Isn't website creation something most people outsource if possible?
