Quick Q re: Flipping websites

Ive currently got my More Money Yesterday domain for sale on Flippa as I cant do justice to its potential & have another project I want to work on, I was wondering where i can find strategies for maximising the exposure of the auction. I expect this complete site to sell pretty well but I think I held the auction for too long (14 days) - Would I have been better doing it for something really short like 3 days? I understand your strategy advice may be too late for this auction, but I have a few domains I will be selling in the near future & would like to implement them then... Thanks in advance!

I have definitely found that shorter 3-5 day auctions do better on Flippa. It also takes some time before you get a feel for the times and days that auctions get the most exposure. You'll want to start and end on one of those days. My best suggestion is to take a very detailed look at what other sellers are doing there - auction timings, sales text, BIN, reserves and so on. Although it's time consuming it really does make a HUGE difference.

  • Good point, I should have researched what others were doing & looked for a pattern...

  • And I should always pay the extra to have it on the front page?
