How much should I charge for my eBook

My New eBook, abiut the recession, will be around 100 pages long!

It will have four Main sections

Section 1: - What is a recession

Section 2: - Recession Tips for you

Section 3: - Recession Tips for your business

Section 4: - Profit from the Recession (Includes a Warren Buffett case study)

Any Ideas. I was thinking $47 and a $27 WSO, but I really need sensible ideas of how much to charge. I do not want people to pay a huge amount, as that may increase Refunds.

Why not take a little bit of one of the best chapters (which ever one you think would catch the readers attention the most) and give it away as a free report to build a list. Then you can sell them the full copy of your book, plus have a nice list for future products.

I already have a 5-part eCourse which does this. I am using the fre version of Getresponse to power it.

      Why not test the market?

Go in with $7.00 then increase your price to $17.00, then $27.00 and then $47.00

      Good content = worth a lot of $$$ [/quote]

Imran, I am sure that my content is not worth $7. I have seen absolute fluff sell for $97, and I am sure that my eBook is not fluff! When it is done and dusted, I will try and get some reviews and testimonials. Then after the WSO is finished I will have more testimonials to put on my website and hopefully be able to increase the price.

cheers, I'll keep that in mind. However, I think it depends on whether the WSO comes first...

If it does then I should keep the price at $27!

I will first post it online with the price at $17, then increase it once I get enough buyers. Then when it is at $27, I will post a $7/$17 WSO

LOL, I just finished my ebook and I am offering it for $9.95.. Not so much of content though... just straight to the point guide and some resources.. For 100 pages, you must have spent a lot of time...

How much could someone reasonably make with the information in your product?

If you can help them realize this (without making direct income claims), you can charge anything you want.

    Hi there,

I sell a number of ebooks in the UK and I've found that £27.00 ($35) works best for me.

If I buy an ebook, I'm put off with a cheap price as I feel the content won't be up to much, or the content that is contained is feely available online.

    Hope this helps.

thanks! I think that I will complete it fully, then offer it at $27. If it doesn't sell the price will come down to $17, and if it does then the price is going up to $47!

Do not price your product based on page length. It's irrelevant. Price it based on the value of the result said buyer is going to get.

For example, if I was selling a 1 page PDF with next week's winning lottery number (20 million jackpot) how much do you think I could charge for it? 10 million? 15 million? This is an extreme exaggeration but you get the point.
