do you still do twitter markteing? how's the result?

I know here in the bay area Twitter has had quite a flight of employees at the top who got frustrated. I think Facebook is the safer bet at this point.

Hi Visi, there is still value in Twitter. Look at it this way...The fact that its an open book as far as you being able to see what your audience is talking about and following means a lot. Just to put it in perspective, 15 yrs ago companies probably would have paid to get these types of insights.

In fact when I first started in sales in the late 90's I heard sales managers saying that a great way to get new customers is to spy on your competitors to see who their customers are so that you could pitch them. Twitter lifts the veil. You can see who buys from your competitors and even learn what they like about them in less than 5 mins. and for FREE. Need I say more

What would top level employees at twitter get frustrated about besides the fact that the company hasn't made a dime since its inception?

I guess only the best of the best make millions with only a promise. I'm not that good, I actually believe in profit margins etc...

But is twitter a good lead source/marketing tool? Hell yeah, the best, if you do it right

I'm loving Twitter. I've got a small following of just over 2000 (growing daily) and it brings me 2 - 4 hundred visits a day. I entice the new visitors to opt-in on my blog...let the auto-responder do it's work...and wake up to e-mails from Paypal

I no longer do twitter marketing,
some may have their success,
but i don't think is a good idea
to focus on twitter, as your account
may be close if done not proper.

In short, your account is under
someone else's control,
so i don't feel comfortable using it.

  Twitter marketing is do-able it just has to be done right, much similar to facebook they have strict rules that you have to abide by or you may get banned. There are plenty of software choices to help you automate your twitter account and that alone is a great start.
  
  I'm working on a site to cater to the Internet Marketers looking to maximise Twitter but it's not going to ready for a couple of months, I also know a few companies that can help you automate your accounts etc.. or earn when you tweet (ad's) feel free to PM me if you like.

  People complain that they don't get twitter but twitter is advantageous. Through it a website gets traffic and creates awareness of its products and services. I use twitter daily as one of my marketing strategy.

Well, i never used twitter as means of marketing. got a twitter account but never got any decent number of visits through it. i always prefer to focus on search engine marketing because that's what works best for me and i am sure i am not the only one who is getting benefit from Google.

With twitter, everybody is twitting, the noise get louder and only those close to you hear you. Look at their faces on facebook.

I am using twitter to give publicity to my site and articles. It would be wrong to call it twitter marketing in a sense that , just spreading word on twitter , i do not think amount to great marketing as such.

All I know that Twitter marketing is a waste of time unless you pay for your twitts to be shown.

Otherwise, it is a complete waste of time in my view.
