Calling all Facebook Fan Page designers...

Hi,

I'm curious as to how once you've designed your client's facebook page how you go about adding it to their fb account?

Thanks for your time!

I typically have the customer create the basic fanpage and have them add me as an administrator. Once you are an admin, you can update as needed.

Right. I get that and do the same thing. But to add the fan page to your clients facebook account you need to be an admin and add the app you created to his fan page. That said you need to - for each client - re-create the app with a new url pointing to the blog you created for that client.

I'm just thinking there's got to be simpler way to do this. Like some sort of app?

When you create the application your client should be able to locate to your app and click add to my page.

Exactly. Which I've done as well. But since each site/blog you pull in via the iframe will have a different URL you need to create a new app every time for each client.

      Am I right?

  • If you use a fanpage building platform the apps are alraedy created so you don't need to keep creating apps and jumping through all the hoops FB present to you.
