ClickBank Subscription Products Questions

Hey,

I was going to ask these questions directly to ClickBank, but it appears they made sure to avoid the huge amount of inqueries by only making themselves available via mail and fax. Haha.

Anyway, I want to try out a product before maybe becoming an affiliate. The thing is that there is a $1 subscription as a trial (probably an aged offer/reliable vendor) and there are certain things that aren't too clear. At the same time, I am also working to get rid of the CDR status (after realizing that ClickBank has been sipping debits totalling $85!).

- If the buyer doesn't make the recurring payment, is the subscription considered a sale by ClickBank standards?

- As weird as it may seem, the subscription costs $1, while the 'Initial $/sale' is $5.78 and the 'Avg Rebill Total' is $23.50. Why is that? Is the vendor giving $5 right of out his pockets?

I found everything directly from the ClickBank marketplace, so everything is legit.

    Q1 - If the buyer doesn't make the recurring payment, is the subscription considered a sale by ClickBank standards?

    A1 - If you dont refund the trial, then yes it is considered a sale but only the $1 part.

    Q2 - As weird as it may seem, the subscription costs $1, while the 'Initial $/sale' is $5.78 and the 'Avg Rebill Total' is $23.50. Why is that? Is the vendor giving $5 right of out his pockets?

    A2 - You can create multiple products under the once clickbank ID and therefor that could be a combination of different product offerings. Clickbank will only show the combined totals for all products, so if there is an immediate upsell, that would be considered too.

    Another possibility is that the person has recently changed to the $1 (this is only a new offering at clickbank for approved vendors, they used to have a min of $4.95).

    Two possible answers: (i) As Canuck explains above; (ii) the price may have changed during the period over which the figures were compiled.

    "Legit", perhaps ... but they cover a time-period over which the price may not have been constant. Just saying ...
