How To Offer More Content For Membership Site?

Building a membership site and wondering if you all had ideas on ways to offer more content which will entice people to sign up for a paid membership. Blog, forum, podcasts, expert advice. What else could you offer? Anyone build a membership site?

You could use interviews with experts. A private forum works good too. Also exclusive webinars.

Btw, just thought I would let you know that on your fan page, you misspelled "custom website designs". Just a heads up

You don't neccesarily have to offer more?

People will expect to receive what you promise on the sales page.

If you promise to give them 1 kick-ass interview each month for $10 a month, that is what they will expect. If that interview is great, they will be happy to stay members.

If you promise them the world, you have to give them the moon too if you want to overdeliver

It's wise not to promise anything on the sales page that you can not deliver month after month after month.

Excellent point. Your sales page sets up your customers' the expectations.

There's a number of things you can do. Just wondering what niche you're in??

I've seen this with several content-based membership sites. The owner starts off like gangbusters, with a big load of dynamite content for a few months. Then both the quantity and the quality starts to fall off. Eventually, the site folds.

I'm not even talking about the scammers who count on people not remembering that they're paying for a site they never visit every month, or that the hassle of going through a convoluted escape process is more than the charge is worth (so it gets put off).

I'm talking about people with the best of intentions, who learn that providing that top-notch content month after month is harder than they thought.

Yeah I've had pretty good success with a membership site for a while, I eventually sold it. I really prefer to use the micro model and then make more money on the backend with affiliate offers (not too frequently though). But yeah your right, as long as you provide real value you'll be good to go.

Thanks for that....I'm actually redesigning that whole thing this week but I appreciate the heads up.

have a fair bit of content and before the end of each month advise members on the upcoming exciting stuff for next month. Something that is good to offer, if it suits the niche, is webinars or mastermind/brainstorming sessions.
