Too Much Personal Information

So how much is too much personal information? If I have my cellphone number, home phone number, email, address, and name is that too much? I don't have any credit card information or SIN on the site. What the site is actually for is to be like an online resume. But I don't want any identity theft so what information should I have and not have?

    Hi That Guy,

If I have my cellphone number, home phone number, email, address, and name is that too much?
    In my opinion, yes.

Just give them a way of contacting you.

If it's the email address, either put it in a blank image file or if you don't know how to do that type something like this -

yourname AT emailaddress.com (replace AT with @)
...because if you put your email address exactly as it is in text on a webpage, spam bots may harvest it and spam you. If you have a decent spam filter or it's a free (disposable) email that can be updated, this may not be an issue.

    Does that help at all?

You might try Kall8 numbers. I use them for everything.

Yeah, yeah, I'm sure some peeps will come on and say Google Voice numbers, and those are great too.

      BUT
Kall8 numbers offer unstoppable caller ID, which is pretty slick, and specific call blocking, which is cool too. ESPECIALLY IF THE NUMBER FALLS INTO THE WRONG HANDS.

You get a Kall8 number and then forward it into your cell. The deal is though, you don't want to talk on an incoming Kall8 number since they charge .06 per minute. You simply tell the caller you need to call them right back.

Despite it's somewhat cheesy looking website, Kall8 is the bomb.
