Coming Soon website climbing the rankings

INTERNET MARKETING

I am currently in a niche where this one website keeps climbing the rankings when it is not even completed. "www(dot)areawideservices(dot)com" , is listed in google for my niche in the number 2 and 5 spots for my target keywords somehow. Its title only says "This website is coming soon" and there is literally no content at all on the site, or any mention of my particular niche. It has a few good backlinks from bbb.org and yellowbook.com, but it doesn't even have any relevant anchor text.

I was wondering if anyone had a clue why this website is appearing for the results in my niche let alone in the top few results? Thanks

Probably backlinks? Similarly, do a keyword search for "something", and see what hits #1.

It won't stay in the top listings. Although it is odd that it is ranking. Google does weird things sometimes.

Thanks for the replies..Yea I thought it was very odd that it was ranking considering the site title or url doesn't even include any of the keywords.

This is why the Google is the most difficult search engine to read.I hope this is not the issue of changing their algorithm.

Sometimes it shoots up to the top for the first few hours then goes back down again as the algorithm goes into effect and continues its calculations. Let's see how your website turns out on the long term.
