I have never done article marketing however i believe you can submit as many as you wish. They also take a long time to approve articles i hear.

    - Put your backlink on your article after one submission, just so the first one doesn't look like you are trying to benefit personally for submitting your info.

    Ten.

After you've submitted your tenth, they won't accept any more from you until they've "assessed" you. After this, they upgrade you either to "Platinum" (still free, no submission limits at all and much faster approval/publication - well worth having) or to "Basic Plus" (which really means "failed Platinum" and effectively puts you back to the start, with a limit of ten articles again).

Your initial ten articles can be submitted all at once, or as quickly/slowly as you like: there's no daily limit.

See this thread for further information and a few tips.

You may add a backlink to your site even with the first article, if you wish.

You're allowed two "self-serving links" in the resource box of the article.

It'll all become clearer when you start submitting. Good luck!

    This is incorrect.

This is also incorrect. Over the last couple of weeks, they've been speeding up quite a bit. Even some "basic" level members are getting published fairly quickly, this week.

People concerned about EZA's approval times may perhaps find this longer thread of interest.

This is misguided advice. If your site is in some way "questionable", according to their terms of service and editorial guidelines, there's (perhaps) an argument for using no links at all until after you've submitted ten articles, so as not to delay progression to "Platinum" status. But if not, you can gain nothing at all by putting your first link on the second article rather than on the first one: you'd just lose a backlink or two and some traffic.

EZA's editorial guidelines comprise only one page, and it's very important to read it before submitting articles there.

You can post as many articles as you like on an given day. Put links in the resource box of every article you write.

Read the terms and conditions as they are very strict about where and what type of links you can post

    It's hardly true,

    This is misguided advice
If i were moderating an artile submission website and somebody submitted their first article with backlinks to their site i would automatically see their intention.

As i said it was only what i have heard from the warrior forum as personally i would never spend my time writing articles.

Yes it is misguided advice. I moderate 2 article submission sites and when somebody submits an article (first or not) without a link, I email them to say that they have forgotten to add the links that they are entitled to in exchange for my site getting their content.

I've never heard that before, but if you have heard that from this forum then it's probably from somebody who has posted advice about something they know nothing about.

Initially it's ten. When they upgrade you to Basic Plus, then it's about 30. Finally, you are upgraded to submitting an unlimited number of articles.

It just isn't. It's ten again. As explained above.

This is also completely wrong - on both counts. It's not "unlimited" and it's not "one a day".

Sorry to sound crotchety about it, but why do people try to answer questions (which are already answered) here, when they have no idea what the answers are?!

Well, you know, as they (I) say, speculation is the spice of life ... apparently.

I agree, Alexa, but why do people ask such a question here instead of reading the skinny on the EZA site?

Resource box! That's where you put the link to your site. Otherwise, why bother to submit an article in the first place?

Why on earth would they mind that your intention is to promote your own site? That is the main purpose people use directories for.

    QED

(apprently QED on its own is too short an answer to allow me to click on submit)

Not necessarily. An upgrade to "Basic Plus" means you may submit only another ten.

This is just completely wrong: it's pure fiction.

Where do people get this stuff from?

Oh yes ... I know: from reading forum threads. :p

I'm afraid even this is mistaken, too.

This thread will interest you, Balvinder: in it, a whole succession of experienced, successful, professional article marketers explain in detail all their shared reasons for NOT submitting "fresh content" to article directories. I submit to EZA nearly every day, but I'm certainly not willing to give them my own previously unpublished material! I'm trying to build up my business, not theirs. Why would I ever want to give them the initial indexation rights to my work?!

I joined ezinearticles a couple of weeks ago. I wrote my first article and they approved it within 36 hours.

Follow Alexa's advice. She's exactly right, as she usually is. I've been writing for Ezine Articles for a couple of years, and the procedures outlined in Alexa's post are exactly the situation. Follow this and you'll be fine.
