Q for Twitter veterans: How can one tweet produce continual traffic?

This baffles me. I thought I understood how Twitter works.

Back in March, I did a profile on a Hollywood producer who's using Fiverr to raise money for one of his projects. Now we're not talking big-name producer here (obviously). He was so grateful for our feature that he did a blog post on *us* and sent out a single tweet about it.

We have gotten a steady stream of referrals from Twitter ever since. I don't get it. This guy only has about 2,200 followers. It's not like he's Charlie Sheen (or even charliesheen). He does 15-20 tweets a day so our tweet was long ago buried. How do people even find this tweet so they can click on the link and arrive at our site?

Thanks,
fLufF

They get indexed in Google and people turn them into rss feeds for their sites. Using Twitter posts is one of the ways some people feed 'unique' content into their sites to keep them fresh.
