Getting Fans on Facebook Business Page

Hi I have just set up a new Facebook Fanpage and i have suggested to all of my friends but still nobody has clicked on the "LIKE" botton. What is a good way to promote the page or any other way to get people/friends to hit "Like Button". I have also placed a facebook plugin on my website so that hopefully it will increase the chances of getting them to click "LIKE".

It's just a matter of time before people start liking your site. I guess the only real way you can increase the number is by providing interesting, useful content.

It's not a good idea to buy fans if you just want to target people in your local area.

simply go to fiverr and buy some TARGETED fans, or have somebody follow TARGETED twitter users and promote your page to them by mentioning it in an automessage

if you want to target local peeps, set up an event or a local fair and offer people a free drink voucher in exchange for a facebook like..bam!

People are not stupid, I'm not out to manipulate people into giving them a free drink voucher in exchange for a facebook like.

if you just want numbers of likes, try one of the folks on fiverr.com who will post anything on their wall for like 5000 followers to see. You should get some likes from that. Just check their reviews to see if people like their gig results.

Does the facebook "like" have huge effort for products on salespage? Or they are "liked" for free stuff only?

most fiver gigs are unfortunately very low quality, and they only show "proofs" some faked screenshots.

an average gig on fiver gets on average 6 clicks on your page, that means that you paid $0.85 per click !!!

On the other hand, if you buy fans / likes from a reputable seller, super-cheap,
you will save days and days of frustrations:

You can get the best kind of fans,
human real guaranteed fans for which you pay only $0.03
    - $0.07 / person when they are really worth it $136.38 per person
    as you can read here:
How Much Is a Facebook Fan Really Worth?: Tech News and Analysis «

The fans they bring you will give you the following amazing benefits:

    - ranking in the first page of searches of number 1 website in the
    world: Facebook

    - multiplication of your business value and image

    - multiplication of the credibility of your business in front of
    new clients and new partners

    - helps you getting new clients and new partners many times more easily

    - it saves you a lot of time and so much money

    - think about it: would you rather do business with a company that has 4 fans
or with a company that has 53,479 fans ?

Well for one, the page title is going to be a big reason someone likes the page.

    Take the following into consideration

    1. Page Title

Think about it. Someones not going to "Like" a page that says "I Have Foot Odor" or anything that they don't want to share with their friends and family. The page title is everything.

    2. Profile Photo

If your page doesn't have a good profile photo (the thumbnail) that can hurt conversions majorly. You have to get people to really connect to what you have to say and notice you on Facebook.

    3. Status Updates

Come on. Facebook is all about status updates. If you aren't posting status updates regularly and don't have anything to share, who's going to like your stuff?

    4. Audience

This one should be obvious. If you want to make a page on Facebook or a business in general, you have to have an audience. So do some research and make sure that there is actually and audience for what you have to talk about.

    5. Spam

Everyone hates spam, except for SPAM (Spam) mmmm. But seriously, if you are spamming your fans with advertisements nonstop, they are more likely to block you. Don't advertise heavily to your fans and be real with them.

Try to connect to your audience with your status updates, make sure the title connects to them, the profile photo is noticeable, and you aren't spamming and you're golden

I think you're asking the wrong questions. Rather than asking how to get people to click the like button, you should be asking yourself...

who would like the content on this fan page
how many people would most likely like the content on this page
    why would they like it
how often would they like receiving it
    etc.

Figure out the who... then go find them.

BTW most people who will "like" your page will never return and will never see your updates in their newsfeeds. Just getting likes for the sake of likes is a lose-lose proposition. (Read up about EdgeRank).

I agree, post new content which most people like. Some funny images, jokes, Youtube videos of songs or funny videos. People like such content, but I don't know if it is related to the niche of your fan page...

Also read what Justin Lewis wrote, title and profile picture are very important, is the first thing a person will notice, so they need to be attractive.

Research 'social proof'. People will very often only like your page if thousands of others have.

FB ads are the way to go. the key is try submitting 10 different ads at once and see which one sticks it will work for a week maybe a month then do it again 10 ads and keep ones that stick. rinse repeat. also never pay their suggested amount cut it by atleast half.

    • In addition to buying fans, there are many other things you can do to get more fans. You can send out invitations to your email and newsletter subscribers, create a compelling video and post it on your page, or launch contests with prizes (such as a free eBook) and ask participants to "Like" your fan page.

If you want real likes you need to give people a reason to like your page.

Provide good engaging content and people will like it to keep up to date.

Like gates work well if you have something people want like an ebook an offer or a video to reveal.
