I need some help...how much do you think this is worth?

by Robert Brauer 24 replies
I'm considering launching a new backlink service based around exactly what I do to get my sites in the Top 3 of Google within 2-3 months, focused on getting quality links, rather than a lot of crappy links...

After months of messing around with useless link building methods, I finally found something that really works well and I want to offer it in this potential service...

I need your advice, what would you expect to pay for the following?

- 7, 400-word -- high quality that people would actually read -- (100% unique, NOT spun) articles submitted to popular web 2.0 sites with 1 link (keyword as anchor text) to money page
- 3 Unique Article Wizard submissions with links going to the web 2.0 hubs
- 40 linkvana (100% unique), 150-word blog posts
- 7-10 blog blueprint posts, (100% unique)

Cool, thanks Christina! I'm looking to create the best value service on the WF (and one that actually works!!)

That comes to about 45 links? You can throw in press releases as well to sweeten to pot. You can charge upwards of 50$ for that

Well..UAW would be more than that, probably around 500 or so links.

I really want to create a small group 50-100 subscribers paying about $99 per month. The thing is: I really want it to be an amazing service! I know it will be since this is the exact strategy I use to get to number 1 in Big G

I also might throw in some SE NUKE X to the package. What do you all think?

You could offer a 1 month review package to a few (reputable) Warriors and then let them decide what they would be willing to pay for your service. Just an idea.

You could also get some positive reviews out of it so when it comes time to offer your services to the public you have more selling power. Looks like a solid service though.

Thanks. Another great idea. Since it's just me and my team doing the work, I'd probably only have the "trial" service open to 5-10 people for the first month...

Would you pay $67 (discounted review price) for this service?

I'm not familiar with a couple of the acronyms you used but I am familiar with writing quality stuff. The wild card here is the definition of quality writing. I've seen lots of people on this forum swear up and down that they can buy a 500-word high quality article for $5 or less.

Some have even posted or linked to what they're calling high quality. Most is mediocre at best and some is complete trash. Outside of this forum I get $.10 to $.15 per word for content, not sales copy. I've done some bulk work for a few warriors at $.08 per word.

I once quoted a guy on this forum at $.10 per word and he jumped at it. He wanted one 700-word article. When I told him to shoot me $70. He went nuts. He assumed I made a mistake and meant a penny a word. Then he got nasty saying no one is worth $.10 a word and that he never paid more than a penny a word for an article. And his site showed that. So it goes...

You might be looking at a challenge getting a good writer to do this because you're going to be talking to clients who think good content comes at a penny a word or less. Now, if you're marketing offline, that's another story because most brick/mortar folks have no idea what quality writing goes for. Hope this helps.

So, you didn't really answer my question

Do you think the price is fair?

Not really familiar with all the services you mention but I can pretty much guess what they offer. I think you'd have to be somewhere between four and five hundred bucks to pay a decent writer and yourself too.

One poster is saying you could get this way cheap on WF but I believe he's missing the point. What you get for cheap money is essentially a Spam blast and many of the links you get right out the chute will be gone pretty quick. In fact, if you do decide to launch this service that would make an excellent hook, pointing out the difference between the hit and run spun article stuff and hand done quality SEO. But you already know that. Maybe a good business for a software developer could be called IRON GUARD. Keeping the termites off your property.

There is definitely a market for your service. I think it would be a hard sell to the fast-buck IM crowd but successful marketers in many fields understand the difference between a blast and high quality SEO work. It's actually nice to see someone here thinking about launching a truly reputable service. Good luck.

Thanks, I just want to help people out with something that I've had success with lately...using my step by step formula
          {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[3933436].message }}
  • I know that it really depends on the niche and the keywords you are targeting but most people would not be prepared to wait 2-3 months to get to the top 3 in Google when there are a whole host of products on the WF that can do that in 2-3 weeks.

The quality of what you are suggesting sounds very good but at the end of the day people are only interested in results so the strategy someone uses to get to the top is pretty irrelevant so long as they they get there.

Therefore, I think you would need to show beyond doubt the long term benefit to a customer of going with you and price accordingly... i.e. pretty high >$150

So you mentioned you want to offer this as a $99 monthly service, with a "review" price of $67/month.

To be honest, there are much better deals to be had on WF as far as this type of service is concerned, both in terms of cost and quality. Speaking as someone who subscribes to a monthly backlinking service, I can tell you that based on whats available, and for the prices, if I were interested in your style of backlinking, I'd probably only pay $30-40.

Really?? In my experience most people don't manually write articles, they just spin them and then use software to submit. The value in this is the 100% uniqueness of the articles, and manual submission, then linking to these articles to boost the link juice.

      Anyone else?

It sounds like a pretty good deal. But I wouldn't expect to pay more than say $9.99 per month for a service like that. The reason why is because there are millions of people all claiming that they have found a system that works - when they haven't. And even if you've found a system that "does" work, you have to compete with all of the trash online.

My advice to you after reading your post is - Lose the XRumer backlinks. They do not work! And they don't appear natural or organic to the search engines. Everything else sounds great - but only if every blog post and article post is actually unique. Also, I'd offer one free press release per month to a high ranking release service.

You are also going to have to guarantee these things on a month to month basis - provide proof links to your customers for the service etc.

If your service does work, after a few months get some of your clients to write truthful testimonials and then apply a price rise accordingly. Once you can PROVE that your method does in fact work, you can charge more money. But expect many others to copy your approach and steal clients straight from the search engines. I don't mean to discourage you, I just know how these things work from experience. Good luck!

Honestly, nobody can *guarantee* rankings -- however I do know that the competitiveness of your keywords are a big factor...

      And, Google loves unique content

I would say 2-3 months to get really good rankings for a medium competitive keyword...

I say that this service's cost boosts when one sees that you have such a long article that hasn't been spun.

I would say... just over $150? Somewhere between 125 and 225 dollars perhaps?

So far I've gotten suggestions between $9.95 and $225!
