Why is my site showing weird search page?

Hi,

My kitchen site is showing a weird search page, and possibly duplicate contnt on site because of it

What happens is when you find my site through keywords and click on it, you come to a search page not the actual page on the site

i.e

kitchenaccessoriesheaven.com/search/pink-kitchen/

Has anybody any ideas what is causing this and how I change it?

It's a wordpress blog,using socrates theme and has all in one seo plugin

    You can avoid indexing of this page, below link will help:

    Preventing some part of your website from getting indexed in search engines may be a good option but some prefer it because of the extra traffic it can get from search engines.

    Good SEO practice is to avoid indexing of duplicate & repetitive content.

    When I click the link you provided above it tells me the page is not found. Which may be a broken link and you will need to check with your webhost. Also, you may have a typo error.

      maybe that means my tinkering has worked!

      What was happening was say you searched pink and green kitchen accessories, you would get my site on the search and when you clicked it, you would enter a page that showed all the possible pages, with the first paragraph (duplicate content).

      I actually have 29 pages,9 posts, and apparently have 300 pages indexed.

      Any ideas?

        That means your Wordpress blog search pages, tags, category pages & other stuff is also getting indexed, its not a problem because it can get you extra traffic as you never know when will your indexed page come up in search results for a related long tail keyword but if you want to avoid this, you can always use the information in my previous reply.
