How do I come up with a good title for an eBook

by Joey89

Here is the basic premise for the eBook.

How to turn your hobbies and things that your passionate about, into eBooks that you can sell.

The title I have right now is called Cash-in your passion.

I am open to any thoughts about this, what works, what doesn't, how can I change it.

Also, what would you call it if you were in my shoes right now?

Thanks
Joe

Timothy Ferris got the name for his book the 4-hour workweek, by posing different title variations as adwords ads and seeing which got the highest click-through rate.

Have to be careful here, or the vice squad might be after you... (just kidding )

Personally, I like "Cash In Your Passion". Has a nice ring to it.

Adding a subtitle which promises a more specific benefit, and has some keyword power if you intend to sell online, makes the package more powerful.

The Adwords tip is a good one. Perry Marshall uses titling a book in his soft cover Adwords book.

Some good advice already given here. If you are still having trouble, try holding a contest. They are usually very inexpensive and you will be given a surplus of ideas.

The subtitle is just as important. The title may not capture their attention, but by reading those few words in the subtitle may pique their interest more.

I would swap the word "eBooks" for Enterprises!

Yeah, this title is a great one. Being specific will definitly help it.

This can also be a bullet point for my sales page actually.

"How to Turn Play into Profit" by Joe....

Alliteration is often good with ebooks like these so play around with words that can create a catchy title... play/profit, craft/cash etc.

    Good luck either way.

I like "Turn your passion into profits"

As someone else point out, alliterations are good, since they're generally a lot catchier than other titles and tend to stick in people's heads a little bit longer.

    Joey!

Head on over to Amazon.com and then search for books related to your own topic. On the digital eBooks you'll notice where it says "look inside!" basically this means you can see the table of contents and then the first couple of chapters before you have to buy it.

What I like to do is look at the table of contents and see what ideas you can pull from the titles of each chapter. Hope this helps! Cheers!

Hi there-hobbies and passions are a good topic for an ebook- you could title it "Loving what you do. Cashing in on your hobbies and passions"
