Advice Needed - SEO Employment

I am skilled in SEO, article marketing, Google Adwords, and many other internet marketing techniques.

I typically have high paying clients and do work as an independent consultant. One client included a man running for the US Senate.

I know I can attain clients as needed to support our families income.

However, my husband and I recently decided to buy a house. The bank only wants to count employment income. Therefore, I need a job as an employee to purchase a specific home we would like to purchase.

Because we are moving a great distance, I need a work-at-home position. This way I can work from home and the job will move with me.

Since most clients prefer to hire independent consultants rather than employees, I am unsure where to turn to seek employment. I am willing to offer a reduced price for my services in exchange for a position as an employee rather than an independent contractor.

Does anyone here have suggestions on where I can find SEO/internet marketing employment?

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm curious,, do you perform your work as a business? I mean, do you have a business and all the legalities to go with it? Business name, business bank account, etc. all the stuff that goes along with a biz? If you have a business you shouldn't need to be an employee.

  • Hi SEOTechnician. Don't know the regulations and laws of your state and country, though thought I'd share my relevant experience:

More than five years ago: I registered my business as a sole proprietor company with the Department of Trade and Industry of our country. I listed myself as an employee of the company, including my wife and three friends who have been working with me since day one. So we were a five-man company back then, enough for DTI to approve our business registration and license. I pay myself monthly employee wages. In the eyes of our bank: I have business net profits, as they saw in our annual tax reports for the last three years since we bought a home, back in 2009, and I am also an employee, earning monthly wages, which they saw in my personal income tax reports as an employee and a business owner. In their eyes: My wife is also an employee, earning monthly employee wages with benefits, as they saw in her personal income tax reports. Now we're a 60-employee, 30-subcontractor groups, each with their own employees, and 30-independent contractor company: I am still an employee of our company, particularly the business development and marketing communications strategist of our company, while my wife is the HR Department manager. And: I also have business income as the sole proprietor of our company. Keeps the bank happy knowing those things...

A proactive solution would be to consult a local business and finance adviser along with a local tax lawyer, and ask them if you can:

Register your business, then get official signed independent subcontracts from your clients, then list your name and the names of four others as employees of your company, and also clip to your bank documents your business registration papers and license along with your signed independent subcontracts with your clients...

Ask them if that plan will work for your objectives...

Marx - I love the idea. I definitely will talk to the loan officer and find out if I can try it.

It would be easy enough to obtain independent subcontracts and a few employees.

Wow, so you don't have to pay taxes where you live? Because if you were paying taxes on that income, it would be proof of income....
