Why doing things "tomorrow" will cause you to fail in 2009...

I've just had a conversation with a friend of mine and wanted
to share the subject here with you (but applying it to making
money so you can relate to it)

...

I've had hundreds of questions from newbies asking why they are
unable to match the income of an online marketer "even if they are
copying the same blueprint(s)
"

The HUGE mistake newbies make is that they don't realise that for the
top online earners have spent TIME on their businesses.

They have made STEPS to where they are - not giant leaps.

I think the best way to approach online money making is to have ONE
BIG TARGET... but don't just stop there...

You MUST have smaller targets too.

For example... your target is to make $10,000 per month.

First start with a target to make $100 per day which will get you a
monthly income of $3000 - good start.

Search this forum for advice on the best way to do this.

Then once you reach that level, you can then have a new smaller
target of $200 per day to make. Which, when you achieve it will give
you a monthly income of $6000 per month.

etcetc.

So to summarize this, I would say it is important to have one BIG target
of where you want your income to be.

But instead of thinking that if you plan enough, you'll be able to launch
yourself into it and it will just happen - it wont.

Planning something is vitally important. But you also have to realise that
everything happens in incremental steps.

Don't worry, if you take my advice here and start making small steps
towards your BIG goal starting today by searching this forum. One day
people on here will try and match YOUR income and wonder why they
can't.

TIME and STEPS are the key. Even if it's just a small step each day.

Well said. I would add that taking action is key. I've created a fairly good income online, but in doing so I've made about every single mistake there is. I honestly can't see how you can do this without making mistakes and "wasting time" on methods and projects that just don't pan out. You basically have to give up on "knowing" something is going to work before you try it. In my (very humble) experience, the Internet is a place for action.

Great Post, I definately fall into the "do it tommorrow" category.

This will change in January when i kick myself up the ass and start earning some decent money online. My goal is to be able to retire in 2 years time when i reach the ripe old age of 40 :-)

I wish! Part of the conversation with my friend was based around Johns blog post and simply wanted share my take on it with others.

I also wanted to share my opinion on Newbies wanting to get somewhere fast without thinking about taking steps.

One of the greatest tools in keeping up with your prospects is usually missed by most Internet Marketers "Text Messaging". I'm using the latest software that allows me to send a text message anytime I want to from my computer to all my followers on their cell phone in about 20 seconds. I also put the software on my web page so anyone can send a text message free and my hit meter has grown 10 times in a week. Texting like twitter is the wave in time for 2009.

I see that you've edited your post to take out some of the direct pieces you copied from Reese's blog. If I were you, I'd edit it one more time to include a link to his blog post, otherwise you're infringing on his copyright.

    cheers,

Read John Reese's post earlier and as I read this it did feel like a direct copy of it. Looking back I can see some things have changed, but still, it's a bit too close a copy.
