Could really use some brainstorming help on an experiment i want to do

I am working on an experiment and was wondering if you guys could help me brainstorm a bit to make it great and poke any holes. Here goes

Target a phrase like "cheese flavored gummy dragons" or something that has zero competition.
create the following:
.com (keyword)
.com (random like carpetcleaningstuff)
.com (keyword with hyphons)
.com (keywords with HTML instead of wordpress)
.org
.net
.info
.us (or other oddball suffix)
wordpress.org (or is it .com, whatever the free one is)
blogger (google blog)
ehow (ie does anyone know where i can find some cheese flavored ....)
yahoo answers
facebook fan page
youtube video
(would love advice on any others i should add)

basically, i would use word press for all of the registered domains with one simple post, with keyword in title and once in post. Only one post will be made and see which one gets ranked higher.

I guess i am looking for any other ideas and to see if anyone has maybe done something similar that would save me some time/money

The other thing i would like some help with is i would like to test some other things once google/yahoo/bing has settled on their final ranking and was wondering how long i should let them settle before moving forward with other testing (thinking around 4-6 months here)

I really want to do some backlink/duplicate content testing but figured i could do this along the way.
