For domain godaddy is better but for hosting I will suggest you to go with hostgator. It will cost around $4-7 per month. but you can use springs2011 coupon to save 25% on your first bill. Hostgator is recommended by many. Use baby plan because there you can host multiple websites in one place.

I'm not sure why you want a UK hosting service, but I spent considerable time investigating options available, and how I could save money on domain names together with economical hosting.

There are some very good services, but most are based in the USA, and very often hard to contact personally . The only support they offer is by ticket, and that can take some time.

In my post, "Marketing on a Shoestring Budget - Hosting", I have shortlisted my recommendations, together with a company who offers fast UK support , and even a free domain name inclusive .

      Hope it helps

I'm also often a little surprised when I see people wanting UK hosting specifically ... of which (as far as I'm aware) the only advantage is the theory that using it may possibly help sites to rank a little higher on google.co.uk.

However, having said all that, I do happen to have some UK hosting, myself, because one of my niches is actually quite strongly UK-specific, and I did a lot of research before deciding where to buy, and I feel I can recommend the company concerned (though I'm not an affiliate, or anything): they're called Heart Internet and it seemed to me that they have a widespread reputation for very good customer service and reliability. (I'm pretty sure they won't be the cheapest, but the price differences between these companies are all pretty minimal, it seems).

ixwebhosting is another reliable hosting company which gives you unlimited disk space, unlimited domains and unlimited band width starting at $3.95. I have about 7 domains hosted there and the up time has been top notch.

United Hosting is easily one of the best UK-based web-hosts. They have servers both in the UK and the US, and are renowned for having superb customer service, rock-solid stability and an excellent uptime record: search Google for reviews and see for yourself.

It says a lot that they've built - and continue to build - their business primarily through unincentivized (no affiliate program) word-of-mouth referrals from existing happy customers.

As for domain-names, I recommend NameCheap. Not a UK company, but they offer .uk registrations. Cheap and reliable.

Just enter a keyword in Google.co.uk like “UK Web Hosting” and you will see the magic. Actually lot of people opt US and UK based web hosts due their long experience in web hosting industry. For a domain registration I would recommend you to check eurodns and enom options as well. Web hosting market is wide open, so it's not necessary to choose a web host whose banners you see everywhere.

If you are asking for opinions on the best UK hosting i can understand, but if you are asking for the Godaddy price for domain names and hosting
The first thing you see on the Godaddy home page are tons of prices for different TLD's/Hosting and bundles.
It's called doing some R-E-S-E-A-R-C-H, if you can't even do that then i'm afraid your IM career is not going anywhere..

I switched to JustHost and have not had any problems. As I'm in the UK I found that a freefone number which I can use here (unlike HostGator) has saved me a fortune.

Their support has been excellent, and they have set up 4 of my domains in one hosting account, saving even more dosh.

Finally, you get e free domain name with their package too.
