Comission Junction...clarification please.

Hi,

I wanted to up to sign up with CJ and was reading their terms of use. It said that I couldn't promote on a thrid party site, meaning I can only advertise on a website that is mine?

If someone could clarify this for me that would be wonderful.

Thank-you

Victoria

It means a website that you own or control.

Posting links on a website that is not yours, like say the one you are currently reading, is not allowed.

You can advertise any place you'd like but you can only post
their affiliate links on your own paid hosting websites or blogs.
Not on Squidoo, free blogs, free webs (like Tripod), forums,
    article directories, classifieds, etc.

      What about a re-direct domain?

What I do is direct people to my website and use the cj link on my site.

Wrong wrong wrong wrong! Any and all advertising must be done through your site unless otherwise stated by the advertiser, exclude PPC.

This week I had a campaign deactivated because I made a recommendation of a product on a third party site and I linked them to my site. The affiliate links were on my site but the ad was on a third party site. They discarded the sales made for that poduct.

CJ has good payout on certain things but their enforcement of their idiotic policies is just ridiculous.

  • you have to be very careful where you put your advertising from cj. they are different than alot of the other affiliate networks out there.
