WordPress DB Importing Issue

I posted here about exporting and importing a WordPress database and it went smoothly except for one issue. It didn't import the "custom fields" section of the posts. Which would be no big deal if I could just manually add them again, but on the newly imported site there is no section of "custom fields" to even add manually. It's just blank space underneath the post window and there are no custom fields.

Anyone know how to get the custom fields to export/import?:confused:

Where are you importing the database to exactly?

    Your dashboard or cpanel?

No mySQL. I exported it from mySQL from the old domain and I imported it into mySQL on the new domain. Everything imported over except for the custom fields.

If you can't see your "custom field" section when you're editing or adding a post then you need to look at the top of your screen for "screen options". click on that, you should be able to check a box before "custom fields" there and it'll show up again.

How did you export/import your database? It shouldn't give a problem with your custom fields, normally. (ETA: nevermind, you posted while I responded )
